A bit disappointing
Generally I have loved this author’s books but found it more difficult than usual to get into this last book of the Talonswood series. I was really looking forward to it and got the ARC copy for free via Booksprout.I just felt that there was far too much sex and not enough depth to the story. However, there is an appearance by one of Lera’s mates and her children (see the Lunos books). Also Sam does get her ‘happy for now’ ending with her harem. I’ve reread the Lunos saga several times and love it every time but don’t quite feel the same about the Talonswood series. It’s a shame but won’t stop me reading future books by this author.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Please never stop writing these books and the magical worlds you've created
SPOLIERS. Great finish to a great series. I loved the story and the rounding off of the last relationship with her Vampire. I absolutely loved the update from Lunos and wanted to read more into that. Oh coal is my favourite. Any who I digress!Sam has come into her own and with her mates by herself she defeats the powers that have been slowly building since the first book nicely. I would say we do have a few loose ends like Sam's kind of adopted sister being left with the man that had abused her. Did I miss her helping her young friend? Did we leave Lunos with lera son hating his place in his world? A few have said it's the same as POF but I disagree. I think the parts that are similar are the powerful female and the men who are in awe of her...but obviously take some time to realise this. That's what's endearing about both series. I was gutted to see Alex isn't going to be doing RH for a while and this makes me sad. I still havent seen enough of POF and this books characters enough. I could read about Lunos and this world with more RH within it for a very long time. This book is brilliant Alex you are amazing. Dont stop!

The Final Instalment! Full of action and intrigue!
I’ve been addicted to this series from the start! All my favourites combined into one story. Witches, Fae shifters and vampires, what more can a girl ask for! This is a fast paced, addictive, easy to sink your teeth into series. The perfect amount of steam, alongside a strong story. I’ve read each book in a single sitting and now want to go back and start again from the beginning. If you love a strong female, Sam, is no shrinking violet, she’s got balls of her own, or at least a dragon! Just the type of character I love to read about. Her four mates are equally as attractive, Cassius, Reese, Ellis and Asher, you can’t help but love these damaged, alpha males. If you loved Power of Five, you will really love Talonswood Academy. This book even has a crossover, which added to the excitement. I love the way Alex Liddell creates her worlds and characters, she draws you in doesn’t want to let you go. The beauty of books, I can head back whenever I want to.Highly recommended series!

Bloody Brilliant!
Last Chance World is the final book in this series. Sam & Jake are stuck in Talon after going through a portal but Sams mates are back in Talonswood. Whilst Sam is there trying to find out what happened to the missing humans she and Cassis get a lot closer. Even though Cassis is trying everything he can not too. I loved the crossover characters from The Power of Five series in this book. Its great when books do that. Everything is thrown in this last book. Plus a really steamy scenario in the prison. Wow very voyeuristic! It was a cracking ending to a bloody brilliant series

Great end to the series!
Last Chance World takes us away from Talonswood academy and into the world of the fae, right as the battle between the species starts to come to a head. This book focusses on Cassis and Samantha’s relationship the most, which I loved, since he’s my favourite :3 The charming vampire is still refusing to take Sam as his mate—but when he steps through the portal into Talon, the magic in the environment changes him, and he finds it more and more difficult to resist his base instincts. This pressure really helps develop his character, revealing the layers beneath his easy-going persona. The plot is also packed full of action and drama: there’s an undercover mission, adorable dragon antics, and a whole lot of steam. We get to see Asher interacting with his son, which is very heart-warming stuff. The book didn’t end at all how I expected, which is a plus, and I think it rounded off the series arc really well. It was also really fun seeing some old favourites from the Power of Five Series, and finding out what they’ve been getting up to since their last book! Great end to the series :DI received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Such a great book with an amazing ending
Wow this book is action packed. With Sam and Jake in Talon, we see Cassis, Asher and Ellis go to rescue them. This is when things get twisty as Sam and Cassis go to find the humans. With the appearance of Coal from the power of five series bringing these series together. In the fight to free humans we see the book come to an end in such a hot steamy way then with such an unexpected outcome but in a good way. That they all deserved after everything they went through to get to that point.
