The design is adorable and the leash is great because it doesn't cut your legs if your dog tangles you up. The handle was bigger than I anticipated but I ended up getting used to it and loved the leash. Unfortunately, I had to return this product because the plastic popped open and wouldn't close shut. The seller mailed me a new one but within a couple weeks I had to send that one back as well-the leash stopped retracting. Normally I'd give a "defective" product 1-2 stars, but even though this leash didn't work out for me, I still really loved the feel and design. I wish it didn't break 2 out of 2 times :(

Very high quality! The body is very smooth, shiny plastic without any seams to snag on. Feels very high end! The retract mechanism works smoothly and with just enough give that my little chihuahua mix can pull it effortlessly, but it is strong enough of a spring that it retracts just fine, too. I've had other extendable leashes from the local pet stores which worked fine, but the body of this one is just so much higher quality. I also love the lock button right at the tip of the thumb so it's one hand operation to lock the leash extension. It clicks and releases reliably and also seems high quality. And, it is the prettiest one in the dog park!

I was on the fence between buying another retractable leash for my 12lb dog or moving over to a regular nylon leash. In the past, retractable leash have always broken and I was frustrated.This leash can withstand the force of my spunky mutt and has held up or several months now. This worked great for awhile, but it broke recently and I tried to find the warranty information. Conspicuously missing. The item is no longer available on Amazon and there is no way to message the company. Not much of a lifetime warranty there.

This dog lease is cute. the retract button is temperamental and doesn't always work correctly. Feels like it's about to break everytime I use it. I kept the item because it was low cost, but I wouldn't purchase it a second time once this one breaks.

Very nice leash, it was nicely packed in a box, and I loved the colors. It is wide enough to avoid any incident with cable and also to support my dog. It has been durable, after 2 other leashes that failed in less than 2 months, this one is on month 7 (I have a 5lbs Yorkie so I expect leashes last more than 2 months). Sometimes it gets stuck when my dog overpulls, but it gets quickly to normal when I press the stop button.

The design is pretty and I like the fact it is a tape and not a cord. But those are the only good things about it. The plastic case is slick and if your dog suddenly pulls hard, it could slip out of your hand. The lock and release buttons are hard to work. I have only had mine a couple weeks and the plastic case is already coming apart. The retracting mechanism seems to be working fine but won't be worth much when the case falls apart. I don't expect it to last long.Update: I was right. The retracting mechanism broke last night after using for only 3 weeks. This is a piece of junk. I would give it negative stars if I could. Requesting a refund.

The retractable dog leash arrived today very quickly shipped. First of all the outside design is very attractive. We tried it out and it works very easily and is comfortable to hold. We like the fact that it's in actual leash instead of just a string. We are taking our 3 month old Boston Terrier puppy on her first camping trip next week and will make good use of this leash.
