2 x Fire Blanket 1m x 1m Emergency Survival Safety Fire Blanket for Home, Kitchen, Garage, Office, Caravan Quick Unfolding, with Loops

I needed a kite marked blanket that would meet BSN EN standards. I chose this as the pictures of product clearly showed this marking. However, when received it was unmarked and I had to return to seller. This has wasted me time and effort. Please don't misrepresent your products.

WARNING this product is dangerous. Arrived today. I took it out of the bag to have a look. My 15 year old daughter picked it up to fold up, she is now sat with bandages on her hands due to fibreglass in the skin of both hands. I carefully picked it up afterwards and ended up with similar pains in my hands due to fibreglass despite being cautious. It was made in China so nit to the same safety standards you would expect in the EU. Buy European with kite marks. Most reviewers don’t appear to have touched it. You may put out the fire but you will end up in hospital with glass in your hands. It also states can be used to wrap the body - does not bear thinking about.

Poor quality, loose woven fibreglass, with seam stitching coming away from fibreglass, Very strong smell of petrol from the plastic inside of storage bag, the bag is closed with velcro the full width of opening, the finish of seams is of pathetic workmanship, the smell is so strong I will not have this in my house, it is already outside in the rubbish bin,On the front it in large letters it says "MADE IN CHINA" the photo in your advert does not show this !!!

This is a bad product. I opened one to check it was OK and found that the fibreglass sheet is very poorly built. Loose weave and badly finished seams. When unfolded it spilt pieces of fibreglass everywhere.This project is close to being unsafe to use.

These blankets are fine but both of mine arrived water damaged and slightly mouldy. This doesn't seem to be a problem, and in my case I used them to line a small furnace so it didn't matter at all. It wouldn't really be suitable for a clean kitchen environment or similar.

I have no idea of the ease to use of sturdiness as I don’t actually want to have to use it to find out. I bought it and have hung in the kitchen cupboard so there is a safety fire blanket available in an emergency. Hopefully it will never need to be used!

The fire blanket comes in a compact sturdy soft pouch with one central metal eye on top, allowing it to be mounted easily.The two pull tabs at the bottom are easily accessible in an emergency as one would expect.

Haven't used it (thank god) but it makes more sense to have it and not use it than to need it and not have it. The blanket in the bag feels decent, hopefully I will never need to find out how well it works
