OEM GENUINE
FCP parts took to long to arrive so bought this.I was afraid that this wouldn’t be genuine, but after checking the seal and verifying the code online, everything was up to par after holding the starter in my hand. It felt genuine and installing it as a pain in the ass like always, but it works great and a great product and great price

Be careful. It tests fine on bench, but Shaft does not extend out.
Bot this for 09 bmw X3. Tested it at Oreillys. 1st time it failed. 2nd test is passed. wasn't sure why. Went ahead and installed it. Sometimes it starts the car, and other times it doesn't. I can hear it spin but couldn't figure engine wasn't cranking. It turns out the starter shaft does not pop out to engage the motor consistently. The unit was obviously a return which Boesch simply tested it and resold it again. The job to replace start on X3 is a pain. Now I have to redo the whole job.

2006 Z4 3.0Si
Bit of a job to install as you have to remove the inlet manifold to get to the starter motor. The job went well and the Z4 is back. Time will tell on the quality, but so far after 700 miles and approx 40 starts experiencing no problems.
