What Samsung should have included.
I purchased this power supply cord to replace the too-short OEM/Samsung cord that came with my 55" KS8000 (UN55KS8000FXZA) TV. Now my setup, which uses two access ports in the wall to hide the power cord and video cable, is complete.For those looking for more precise specifications, the OEM/Samsung cord is UL approved, and rated 7A at the plug and 7A at the connection to the TV. This replacement is UL approved (stamped on the plug), and rated at 10A at the plug and 7A at the connection to the TV. The difference in amperage between the plug and the connection to the TV is not a problem. A plug rated at 10A also will handle 7A. In addition, the TV is designed to pull power no more than the 7A rating of the OEM/Samsung cord, so because the replacement cord is, at the least, rated for 7A, it should work without issue.Although the angled connection to the TV is larger than the OEM/Samsung plug, it still is small enough to fit behind the TV without touching the wall using a Cheetah tilting mount.

Cable loose in Samsung tv
At the tv end the two female holes are too large. The cable will not stay in place. A visual comparison with the shorter version supplied by Samsung makes this obvious. I have always assumed that the two pronged end is a universal standard. Can anyone confirm? I need a 12 feet cable. Will order from another supplier but don't want to make the same mistake again.

Cord worked great with LG TV
Perfect just what I needed. To bad flat screen TV's don't come with a longer cord most people are going to hang them on the wall, This cord worked out Great on the LG 50" TV had plenty of cord to run inside my wall down to the outlet.

Bought this because we decided to hang out TV on the wall. The cord that came with the TV, of course, did not allow that. This allowed us to hang our TV and have access to our HDMI ports.
