Great product for an afternoon of crafting! In terms of a crafting item, this is a little pricey, but my friends grandkids had a blast making prints with this, and it will last forever. I also have the 8X10 plate, but the 5X7 plate is big enough for almost anything you would want to print and it is easier to handle. We used Deli paper and heavier paper to make prints. The deli paper works great for making collages and adding the prints to other items. You can cut or tear around the print (or the part you want). We made cards and used an inexpensive composition book to decorate and make an art journal. We used inexpensive 2 oz. bottles of paint which worked fine and a brayer which you need to put the paint on the plate.

I am very new to gel printing but I thought it went well my first time using it. Stencils seem to work the best. I am storing it in the plastic case arrived in.

First gel plate, small size. I am hooked. The surface is very smooth and somewhat forgiving. It accepts paint well, and no issues with paint removal. I plan to purchase the next larger size. I made the mistake of purchasing a hard rubber brayed, but once I used a soft rubber brayer I had better control over the paint layer.

I decided to go with the 5x7" gel plate for my first one It's a good size for book pages and half sheets. It's easy to use and the printed paper peels off easily

Love the way this 'plate' takes paint and it's durability. Very nice quality. Can't wait to buy more sizes!
