Sampler Spree: 100+ Fresh & Fun Quilt Blocks

This has to be the first quilting book I have bought that I actually dove right in! Got out my coveted Lakehouse fabrics and started cutting. If you enjoy quilts with small pieces than this book is for you. Each block I made was my new favorite until the next. The blocks are very versatile and I changed many from 2 colors to 3 and so on. Each one takes some time because the pieces are so small as they are 6 1/2 unfinished, but it was the fabric selection and fussy cutting many squares that I found the most fun. Great way to use up small scraps too as some are as small as 1 1/2 square. I can't wait to finish this quilt! Love it!

I love this book. The whole book is instructions for making the beautiful quilt on front, but it is so much more. It has dozens of ideas for quilt blocks and great tips on working with fabric, choosing colors, and generally making a better quilt on each page. I love the way the blocks are joined. I initially purchased this book because I needed a few more blocks for my sampler quilt. But I quickly fell in love with the book -- so much so that I wrote inside the cover "I love this book". I will be referring to this gem time and time again.

I love this book, actually has 106 different blocks. Instructions are clear, pictures are great.Only improvement I would like is if the blocks were shown in multiple sizes. All are 6 inch finished

I follow Susan on IG and was so excited to get her book. I have not made many scrappy quilts but this has inspired me to get out the scraps I have been collecting and start making blocks. I love all of the tips she has given us. Thanks for a great book!

I am so happy I discovered this book. At first I was disappointed that it was only about one quilt pattern, then after I started making the blocks, it has turned out to be quite a fun project...and in fact, I want more of the author's one quilt books!! It is a slow process (I'm making three quilt alongs simultaneously) but lots of fun. I recommend this quilting book most highly.

I love this quilt book, It has different blocks and layout. The instructions are good and the blocks arent to hard for the most part.Glad I ordered it

Sampler Spree isn't just another block book. Author Susan Ache (aka @yardgrl60) shares her unique approach to mixing fabric, using tools, and experimenting with all aspects of creating a patchwork quilt. Her tips are a breath of fresh air in my sewing room.

This book has great block patterns, but not a lot of instructions for each block. If you are comfortable with general block construction and piecing I highly recommend this book. A beginner or someone who likes more step by step instructions might be disappointed. The blocks are creative, fun and a great way to use scraps.

Versatile 6 inch blocks but no assembly instructions which could be a problem for some. Quilt top design included.

Over 100 blocks, clearly illustrated, pages nicely laid out. Would definitely recomend
