This brush tames my kiddo's unruly hair without causing him any discomfort. I use it on my own hair, as well, and it truly does untangle seamlessly. Feels sturdy, the bristles are good quality. Doesn't break the hair. It's my go-to for detangling.

I bought this for my nine year old granddaughter who loves and begs to use my Mason Pearson. I tried the Misel brush and it seems nice and detangles my thin long hair that goes to the the bottom of my back and left my hair very smooth. Her hair is shoulder length and thick and curly/wavy so I'm hoping it does as good of a job on her hair as well. However, it is a Christmas gift and we won't know until then! From my own experience I would say it's nice for the cost - especially for the cost! The body of the brush seems a good quality, it has a smooth and glossy look/feel, and comfortable to hold. However, it is a bit smaller than I expected, not quite as large as my Mason Pearson, which I am accustomed to. The bristles seem good and sturdy and the rubber pad seems stiff. I was worried that it might be too stiff but after I tried it I realized that it was indeed comfortable on the scalp. The nylon bristles do not have the ball tips and one might think that they feel scratchy but they actually don't scratch. That's something I realized with my Mason Pearson when I first got it. I had been used to ball tip type brushes but the problem with those is that the tips come off after awhile and those do scratch and then hairs get stuck in them and break your hair. So I do think that I will be pleased with the brush's performance and am hoping it lasts. One of my main influences with this purchase is that IT IS NOT MADE IN CHINA! My second reason is the nylon/ boar bristles, and the smooth finish on the body. I read some reviews of how people are cleaning these type brushes. Personally I don't think you should be using water and soap. The rubber will dry out and ruin the brush. It needs to be cleaned using the cleaning brush for the Misel and more like a dry cleaning. My advice would be to follow instructions for the Mason Pearson on how to clean the hairbrush as there's some really BAD advice out there!!!

This is the best brush I have ever used. I’ve had MANY brush in my lifetime, many more expensive but this is the best brush I’ve ever used. It doesn’t rip my hair out. It treats my fragile, delicate hair with care. It really helps pull the oil through your hair which is so good to do between washes. Also, it comes beautifully packaged which was lovely. You could gift it. And, it comes with a substantial tool to keep the brush cleaned out. Love!

I ordered the largest one and it is large! The mid sized one would have been better for me.If you have long thick hair the larger one is the way to go.It’s definitely a quality upscale brush!

My sister recommended this brush to me. I used it for the first time at the gym and I was blown away, I have 4 different brushes and they all hurt me so bad and rip my hair out, this one made it painless and fast, I've never been able to brush my hair without it hurting. My daughter was cursed with my hair and brushing her hair is a nightmare that ends up in tears. I used this on her, she didn't even whine once. It brushed through her matted hair with ease. I had to buy another one as extra.Also wanted to know I'm trying to grow my hair out and lose so much hair with other brushes. But when I cleaned the brush with the tool included in the large pack, I was shocked at how little hair came out vs my other brushes that would end up with chunks of hair ripped out on it. This is going to keep my hair healthy and long!

Due to the demands of my busy schedule, I never give product reviews of any kind, but felt it was so well-deserved and earned in this case, that I am taking the time to give this Misel brush a five-star review. I originally purchased the Misel brush hoping it would be similar enough to the Mason Pearson brush I have used as my daily "at home brush", that I could use it as a good "travel brush" without such a large expense. The initial Misel purchase, over a year ago, was a disappointing defective brush, which was graciously and promptly replaced by the company founder after I contacted them via their provided Amazon link for returns ... this was done free of charge, and with an explanation by the owner that there had been a redesign of the brush that should prevent the defect from reoccurring. That was indeed the case: the new Misel brush I received with the redesign was exactly what I had hoped for in my original purchase ... a well-constructed boar/nylon bristle blend that functions just like the Mason Pearson model, except for a fraction of the cost! I have long, thick hair and the brush moves through my hair so smoothly that there is very little hair loss, which is important with my now thinning and fragile hair (I am in my mid-60's). I am so pleased both with the quality of the brush, the responsiveness and integrity of the company, and the value for the money that I felt Misel deserved to be commended!!

OMG the smell. Nice box, nice that it came with a pick to clean the brush but the overwhelming smell of oil or chemicals on this thing is otherworldly. There’s a plastic liner (I assume) protecting the handle but I swear it’s to cover the smell. Absolutely nauseating and overwhelming. I wouldn’t keep this in a room without open windows. It’s being returned.
