I have not opened up this space blanket but rather I have placed it in my "go bag." It appears sturdy yet is folded up into a compact size that takes up very little room in the bag. Actually, I hope never to have to use this blanket, but it will be ready and available if and when I need it. It does appear to be made of sturdier material than another emergency blanket I have carried around in the past and has supplanted that earlier blanket.

Ultralight tarp that works.
Use this product for a weekend Minimalist camping trip as my tarp shelter. Great product & after I used gorilla tape on corners and tie out points..it work marvelously well.

Good idea, hope I never use it
Bought for my field kit and bug out bag. Currently deployed to Europe and it’s very cold here. Hopefully I won’t need this, but I’d rather have it and not need it than the other way around. Product comes in a package about 3”X1.5”X1.5” out of the box. I’ve used mylar blankets before, and they are incredibly warm. This one seems about the same with an OD side for some concealment in the field.

Heavier weight, good product
Good heavier than cheaper products, you could buy for less, but the thinner ones rip easy

Item was already ripped when I removed it from the packaging.

Low Quality Product
Flimsy product with rough cut unfinished edges. Was going to use under an air mattress to reflect ground cold during motorcycle camping due to compact size but will relegate to one time emergency use. Off to try a higher quality reusable item or hump a military surplus wool blanket again.

Thicker/tougher than your average space blanket.
Thought it was going to be of the thicker variety. It's much thicker than the typical 2 for $1 space blankets though. I was looking for the kind that has cells in between layers. Can't fault this for my lack of attention to detail, though.
