Easy to use

My hands are fairly strong but I need help opening some wide mouth jars. This jar opener did not help at all with tight lids. It will open jars that are easy to open but that defeats the purpose - I don't need help with easy jars. The safety side cut can opener did not have instructions and I've never used a hand held opener like this particular type. I tried five different cans and was successful once. The one time I was successful was GREAT! No sharp edges. But I couldn't figure out what I did right that time that I didn't do the other times. So that's sort of useless to me as well. I'm sure there's a trick, I just couldn't figure it out. I gave this two stars because it seemed pretty well made, just not helpful for me.
