Just like the doctor's office ones, but much smaller.
Perfect size for little fingers. This toy is only about 8-9 inches long and about that high. I don't recall the exact dimensions, but I want to say it is a great size for little ones. My 10 month old grandson likes this toy a lot, and can move the beads up and down and side to side on his own. He hasn't the knack of the roller coaster parts yet, but I'm sure that will come. However, if you are looking for a toy for a 2-3 year old, I would pay more money for something larger. This is definitely for smaller hands. I checked this out before giving it to him, because of choking hazards, etc... Beads are thick, not likely to break apart easily, and the construction seems very sturdy and the wood parts are well sanded and smooth. As with all toys with smaller parts that are attached, he is always supervised when playing with this toy. So far though, he seems more interested in moving the beads, rather than putting the toy in his mouth.

Grandma's choice
My first grandchild's first Christmas I wanted something she'd really love and actually play with. She was just over a year then, but seemed to enjoy anything she could manipulate with her hands. I'm on a fixed income so the sky wasn't the limit. With her other gifts I couldn't afford the ones that also have a cube and more things to do on the bottom . So I got her what is usually on top of them( you see them in Dr. and dental offices)with the wires and beads to move. When we opened gifts she played with it right away but they left shortly after so I didn't see her in action with it very long. But a few weeks later I asked if she still liked it and it was one of her favorites that she was dragging everywhere, even onto other people's laps. YES! It was a hit. So for playability it's 5 stars for sure. Also well made and sturdy.

Learn to love and play
Kids need toys that are fun to play with but also stimulate their brain, this fruit beads maze absolutely fits the bill. The mix of colors and different shapes sizes and textures will really stimulate your child while allowing them to have fun playing.I purchased this for a neighbor who is about to turn 2 and he is obsessed with it!The beads are helping him recognize colors more as well as counting and differentiating between fruits! He is slowly learning hand eye coordination between playing with the beads and trying to carry around the toy all day. This is a great buy because it is fun to play with and easy to clean. I hate when a toy is so complex that kids don't understand how to play with it and adults don't know how to clean it. This provides you a way to avoid both of those!Inexpensive in price but it is extremely well made, would purchase again.

Poorly designed
This toy is smaller than it looks on Amazon, and is poorly constructed/designed. The spaces between all the wires are just not wide enough to allow for free sliding of the beads, so the larger beads with the designs on them (& sometimes even the little ones) are constantly getting stuck. This frustrates our tot to no end, which is especially disappointing since this looked like it would be a cool, larger, more intricate version of his ikea bead maze now that he's getting older....

How much tinier could this be
I have never seen one of these so tiny . It’s not big enough for the baby/ child to move the beads . I guess I just didn’t pay enough attention to the details. Unless your child’s hands are the size they were when they were born ... I’d say pass it up .
