The Goodbye Man

Just adding to his bank balance
Unfortunately Mr Deaver appears to be focussing on quantity over quality and not respecting the intelligence of his readers. This is good example as there is quite a strong idea for a book here but it gets lost amongst some unbelievable characters and actions, some poor writing and an end which is laughable. Add to that there is c30 pages at the end setting up the next book which could have been done in about 3. It would have been so much better if it had been 100 pages shorter. I won’t be buying anymore Deaver.

Classic Deaver
I loved the first Coulter book and loved this too. It helps to have a protagonist who is interesting and has a past, and a quest, which run parallel to the case he is also working on. Plenty of twists and turns and a believable supporting cast of characters. If you like Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme books, give this new series a try. It's worth it.

Another fabulous book!
This is the second book in the Colter Shaw series, and it certainly keeps the momentum from the first. It is full of the usual twists and turns in any Jeffery Deaver book and it keeps you guessing. The book provides a large amount of detail which explains how Colter works and how he figures things out... this makes it so much more interesting for me. Almost like I want to head out and start trying to find missing people myself!I love Colter as a character. He is meticulous and empathetic and really seems to care about his clients.Looking forward to the next one!

Great Read
This book was better than the first book in the series. Colter Shaw is an unusual character but a very interesting one. He is a modern day bounty hunter who doesn’t always get the reward but gets the job done. The back story to this book was around a Cult organisation.
