Garcima 20-Inch Pata Negra Restaurant Grade Paella Pan, 50cm

Heavy and appears well built. Removed packaging, performed the initial cleaning and applied oil. Prepared my first ever paella two days later. I selected five stars for easy to clean, but a little difficult with a sink not built for this large of an item, but no fault of Garcima. The plan was to cook outdoors on the grill, but at 90 degrees and high humidity decide to cook on stop top. I used the two gas burners on right side of stove along with the elongated middle burner and distributed heat well. No worries on the empty wine glass in the background, just an extra glass while mine was continuously topped off.

An excellent piece of cookery. This 20" pan is quite large and suitable for outdoor cooking only. Will not fit in a typical oven or on a range top. I cooked over an outdoor burner made for turkey frying and had good results. You must season this pan before use, as you would a wok or a cast iron pan. I cooked for 8 people and had plenty including leftovers. I wish I bought the 16" version instead, though, as I suspect that that could work indoors as well. It was also a lot cheaper.

This pan is a heavy duty, restaurant quality pan. It’s quite large, so I had to distribute the heat over 2 burners. Heat retention and distribution were excellent. It made the perfect paella, which is exactly what it is made to do.

Thick and heavy feel like great quality pan should. I had the 16 inch for a while, this is a size upgrade for me of the same great quality pan I have enjoyed. I use this to make Paella for parties on my 24 inch Breeo X Firepit on the outpost grate. Such fun cooking on wood fire!

Perfect size and thickness.

This paella pan is great when used in conjunction with our outdoor paella grill. We fed 8 people but this size (20 inch diameter) could have easily fed about 12 individuals. Our paella Valenciana and its variety of ingredients cooked thoroughly and were both a visual and culinary delight. The pan will "grow" some marks on it over time, with usage, but this should not impact the results of your efforts. I highly recommend it!

Nice heavy weight, worked beautifully. Cleaned up well.

I was so excited to receive this pan! I am a bit concerned because after washing and boiling water in it like the instructions indicate I have this staining on the pan. I did not let it air dry. Are these stains normal? I would like to know before I proceed with the oil step or should I just return it~ maybe it got a lemon...???
