My son loves dinosaurs. For his summer reading project he needed to read several books and then when school started they had a character parade. He wanted to be the Dinosaur detective. I loved that each Dinosaur Detective book is broken into three shorter stories in stories about the dinosaur detective so you can read them individually or as a whole book. The illustrations are beautiful. They perfectly match the story. I love that it's a series and he can continue to read about a character he loves.

I like these Detective Dinosaur books as much or maybe more than my 3-3/4 year old granddaughter. There are three stories in this book that are all short and silly. They are easily suitable for younger children. I believe we read the first detective Dinosaur when my granddaughter was 2-1/2. Very cute with adorable pictures.

Such a cute book

My 6 year old twins enjoy this book of mini-stories. I feel like the reading level doesn't equal the silliness. Meaning the stories are a bit jouvinile(sp) for a level 2 book. Maybe an advanced younger reader would enjoy them more.
