Terrible
Im a big fan of Irwin products but this saw was terrible. Its a Tenon saw, so the whole point is that its rigid. The blade is rigid, but the handle is some kind of plastic moulded, half backed concoction, so it wobbles from side to side.A tenon saw is supposed to provide a rigid frame from handle to tip .... this fails. Sorry but buy another saw if you are looking for quality.

I should hate it... but I don't!
I use it for small woodworking projects. I own 3 tenon saws including the Spear & Jackson 9550B. This saw is the worst looking tool in my shop and the only one that must be thrown away and replaced when it becomes blunt. I should hate it... but I don't. Quite the opposite, I reach for it more often than other saws and I will probably buy another once this is done. Overall great value for money and gets the job done quick and easy.

Great saw
Irwin Hardpoint Tenon saw arrived well packaged and in a timely manner. Product was exactly as described.I find this saw a pleasure to use. It easy and comfortable to hold and so makes starting cuts easy and allows for nice tidy cuts. Just the right number of teeth per inch for my needs so no tearing around cuts. However, there are a few things about the way the back bar is fitted, more metal on one side of the blade than the other and the bar extending further past the blade by 7mm, that makes it seem that this saw is not manufactured to the same standard of other Irwin tools I own. Will still give it five stars though and would purchase again without any hesitation

Quality saw; Highy reccomend
Quality saw; you get what you pay for and this, well- reputed brand Irwin, is very well made. The handle fits well when sawing, and the fine grade multiple high teeth count makes cutting easy.Absolutely no flexing, and a fine line cut.The build quality of the saw is fantastic. WOULD highly recommend.

Cheapo - buy something that will last and not become pollution
Handle feels light and fragile with a gaping join along the back seam which makes it a little uncomfortable to hold. Overall it seems cheap. Blade securing pin not visible - I suspect it is plastic so I am not expecting that to last well. Didn’t cost much though.Update 9 June 2020 it finally fell apart and is unrepairable. Cheap for one year’s use, unless you really needed it when it broke, and you don’t care about disposable tools going into landfill
