Great Read!
I'll be the first to actually write a review that's not to do with the price of it or how it came in the mail...Those are Amazon's problems and it shouldn't give a bad reputation to Stephen King...The book is great so far, 50 pages into it and can't seem to put it down!

This was my last shot
I grew absolutely tired with King’s more recent novels obsessing over Donald Trump. I figured it would be a thing of the past considering he’s no longer President but boy was I wrong. Within the first 50 pages I believe there were about five or six Trump references.Enough is enough. Tired of the non stop political commentary. Closed the book and requested a refund. It’s a shame because he used to be a fantastic author. 11/22/63 was his last decent book. Everything after has been mediocre at best or painful like this outing at worst.

The king is back.
Each year I purchase every one of king's offerings. For the past ten years he has been my favourite go-to author. When I saw that this book was coming out, I pre-ordered it around ten months in advance knowing full well that it was going to be yet another stellar offering from the master story teller. From page one this book had me hooked. The character of Billy Summers really got into my head, and I assume that was the intention of the author. It is unlike any King book I have read before, and although he seems to be veering way from horror in his recent works, it is suiting him well. This book is about the innermost thoughts of an assassin on the spectrum, and the depths to which ones mind will travel when left alone awaiting that 'one last job'. I adored this book, just as I have enjoyed losing myself in his many previous works, of which I have stored on a bookcase with bowing shelves. If you're a fan of King, you won't need further persuasion before considering purchasing his next book. If you are new to King, give this one a try because you won't be disappointed. He has a unique talent for making ordinary people come across as extraordinary, and I cant wait for what is to come. I highly recommend it. 5*

DNF
I quit reading this at page 149.This was easily one very boring book ( for what i've read).Besides starting talking about Trump at page 4, there is absolutely nothing in this book. For 150 pages, Hitman Billy plays with neighboor's kids, eats with neighboors, constantly explains in details what they are eating, Billy shops on Amazon , next day delivery or not is clearly explained....Like really? Life is too short to waste time reading books we don't like .But , it's my fault for still buying King's books. Last book i enjoyed from him was Revival, Outsider was ok-ish. Everything else is rubbish.I really don't care how this one ends. Full stop.

Grabs you by the throat
As a lifelong Stephen King devotee, it’s difficult not to have the preconceived notion that everything he writes is going to be astounding. But this was. I think it’s one of his best works. I know that those who aren’t as staunchly in awe of this work, think of his name as a horror writer. That may be true to a point, but isn’t there a lot of horror in the world right now? This book does not go down the supernatural path, as do many of his earliest works, but in true King fashion, there is a nod to one of his most lauded books, involving a haunted hotel. The characters in this book are superbly crafted and you have strong feelings about every single one of them, even the bad guys, of which there are plenty. The story is almost in three separate parts, but woven together to create an intricate tale of love, war, justice and vengeance. The protagonist is a complex killer carrying around a head full of demons, yet a Robin Hood, who champions those who have been wronged. As always, Mr. King manages to paint vivid pictures of life in quintessential small town America, and intermingles it with the harsh reality of how its bigger turbines are grinding all that away. It makes you think about what’s important in life with another profound King-ism ”God doesn’t have a plan - he throws pick-up sticks” As always with a much anticipated King book, once I opened Billy Summers, it never got closed till the last page.
