Very good pure lanolin product. I add it to my lotions or use it alone for dry skin. Lanolin is so much better for your skin than petrolatums and mineral oils that rob your skin of nutrients.

I use this for breastfeeding purposes. The gel is much much thicker than the Medela version, so if your nipples are very tender/sore, you need to try to warm this up before applying as it can be hard to apply. Imagine the consistency is like vaseline but even thicker.

5/2018 - Well, I am less frustrated now than was. The new cap design still useless - so, remove the cap. The lanolin in my first tube was slightly discolored for the first inch squeezed from tube - but it does not persist when squeeze more out. So, will continue to use. I remain also frustrated at the considerable price increase. 4/2018: Had rated 5 - now, 2. What a disappointment ! I previously thought this lanolin excellent - but now, some marketing genius has redesigned the package and changed the lanolin inside. Why not leave a good product alone ? How about some focus groups or market research - I doubt I am alone in my review of the change. The new cap flips up - and the exit port is way too small to accommodate this highly viscous material. Worse, the new product contains a much higher viscosity lanolin - will barely squeeze out with no cap in place. In the past, was less viscous than Lansinoh - which was desirable: Lansinoh way too thick. This new lanolin does not have the translucence of the former product - frankly, I think it is a less refined lanolin. Hey, here's a good idea for the team at Lanicare: go back to the way it was ! Oh, yes - and they raised the price.11/7/2014 - Now, not just for nipples anymore ! Great stuff - way cheaper than Lansinoh HPA - use on damaged skin on scalp - does the job.

This stuff is rad, works like a charm on breastfeeding "parts," and the tube lasts a long time. That's pretty much all you can ask of a tube of lanolin.

This stuff will help comfort cracking nipples and it doesn't affect the baby (no taste).
