Tack base is slightly concave, so harder to glue. Within two weeks one pin snapped off, and one clutch wouldn’t grip anymore.

They are easy to use and functional as thumb tacks on poster board. Where thumb tacks tend to fall out, using these remain in place.

Great product. Using these for make my own 3D printed pins. They adhere great with super glue and have a strong grip to the pin.

I can finally make my own pins out of keychains and other knick-knacks that I've gotten over the years because I absolutely love lapel pins and have a huge bulletin board full of them chains and other cool coins and things to it. I used some hot glue to attach it to the back of whatever I want to make into a pin.

I just want to say that these are the most magnificent inexpensive tie tack blanks that I've ever bought. They are a shade of standard costume jewelry silver that makes me think, "This is what unicorn hooves are made of." I had no problem sticking jewelry bits, small patches, and human eyeballs to them to make some uber-creative tack pins. All that was required was my trusty glue gun, some creative, and a local anesthetic. The backs stay on and don't fall off. My tie tacks shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. I hope that this, my second review for this product, meets with Amazon's approval.

These have a good size base for attaching heavy lapel pins such as those made of fused glass. The counted packs are not well inspected for quality as there is about 3% of items have bent pins, failed solder welds, clutches that do not hold, or other finish blemishes and cannot be used.

These are stronger then some of the ones you might buy at craft stores. In the past when I have bought these butterfly-style backings from other retailers they usually come in a pack where a good 30-40% of them are miss-made and unusable.This pack however, to my surprise, was completely usable- the backings stay securely on the posts and the clasps are centered / not awkwardly pivoted to one side like some of the cheaper models. Will be ordering them again.

The backs aren't completely flat (the head of the pin protrudes very slightly, maybe a thickness of a sheet of copy paper, probably a little less) but easily flattened.The clutch works well, grips very securely.These take solder very easily with no prep required.

Bought two packs and when I counted them I was short on both packs and only received a backing and no pin.If your promising 50 per pack, there should be 50. Not 49 and a half.

These pins are great quality and do exactly what you want to do.
