Awesome book
Really nice book the examples are explained very well, I had problems only with the maven's Avro dependencies, but of course, it is nothing to do with the author. If Mitch writes another book I would definitely buy it.

Great book!
This is a great read for anyone either planning on building an application with Kafka Streams for the first time or would like to revise some particular nuances of Processor API.The author provides an overview of the Kafka Streams and ksqlDB benefits and their use cases. What I really enjoyed about the book is that it's example-driven:there are several real life applications() and the author walks us through the solution explaining why it should be done in one way or another(for instance, why it is preferable to use KTable in case of a high key cardinality(lots of unique keys) data)? Moreover, every problem has a fully working solution provided in the Github.Awesome!

Very Informative
I haven't gotten to the ksqlDB portion, but the first part of the book is amazing. Good mixture of code examples and theory. I highly recommend it.

Mastering what, exactly?
For a book that has "Mastering" in its title, this one sure was beginner-level, especially when ksqlDB is concerned. While it was an interesting read with decent examples, the book rarely dealt with some of the more advanced topics of Kafka Streams (what to look out for in cloud native deployments? storage type considerations? non-trivial discussions of how to handle large datasets?) and on the rare occasions when it did decide to dive deep it offered less detailed discussion than what you could find in the official docs and on the Confluent blog.On the plus side, I do think this would be a great intro for someone who's never had any contact with Kafka Streams or ksqlDB before - it's definitely easier to navigate than the official docs.
