It fits!
This is a great replacement for the stock oil filler cap on my KTM. The existing filler cap hits the fuel tank and requires me to loosen the tank in order to remove and install the cap during oil changes. A real drag. This is a reported problem with some KTM 790's, I was one of the unlucky ones. This cap is shorter and does not hit the tank. Problem solved.

Auto/motorcycle engineers sometimes have brain farts and whoever decided it was ok to make stock filler cap virtually impossible to remove without forcing the tank out of the way probably needs a talking to. This solves that problem

Difficult to open or close with your fingers
One major flaw. The knob or section of this filler cap that you would use to turn and secure it is very small. Very hard to turn tightly with your fingers. I know it’s not supposed to be on super tight but you want a snug fit. Feels like you need a wrench to secure it.It looks cool if you are color matching but with that flaw I hesitate to recommend it.

I have a 2021 Duke 390 and this does not fit ! Waste of money
