Amazingly tasty -- eat while fresh -- may break in shipping
We recently had a box of these, and they were so good that we are considering ordering at the current Amazon price -- equivalent to $15/pound!The 30+ cookies per box are somewhat flat, despite being dipped in chocolate, and are crispy on the inside. They have a very rich flavor, almost like a chocolate truffle. (The inner wafer is chocolate-flavored as well.)We let our box sit unopened in a warm kitchen cabinet for weeks or months before opening -- they did stick together a little bit and discolor, as chocolate products tend to do. So for aesthetic reasons, we will eat them quicker next time!UPDATE -- Our second order arrived with many of the cookies broken and already discolored... so not recommended for gifting.

There was no chocolate dip on the cookies, they tasted like extremely stale and dry brownies. Way overpriced. Disappointing, since Salem baking makes wonderfully flavorful Meyer lemon and ginger thins.

I got these cookies as a Christmas gift and then decided to see if I could find them on Amazon. Luckily, I could. These cookies are delightful. A must-have for a chocolate lover, the cookies have just the right amount of chocolate and are absolutely delicious. They are also only 31 calories each - another key reason I purchased them. Tastes like a decadent dessert but still a safe move for the calorie conscious. The only difficulty is not eating the whole package... Enjoy!
