When I bought a new office chair, it came with rather different casters from the ones on my previous chair. While reading the fine print on the gigantic label festooned with various warnings dangling from the bottom of my new chair during assembly, I noticed a rather stern warning against using the included casters on anything but carpet, which instructed me in no uncertain terms to separately acquire different casters if I intended to use the chair on any non-carpet surface. Between the stern warning, some brief research online, and the first few minutes of using the chair with the included casters, I rather quickly realized that I needed to obtain some replacement casters ASAP if I wanted my wood floors to stay intact.After some unexpectedly in-depth background research on the differences between the two types of wood-safe caster wheel materials, I decided that I definitely wanted polyurethane casters rather than rubber casters, and headed off to Amazon to look for some. To my dismay, nearly every listing I could find on Amazon was either for a rubber caster or the bizarre rollerblade-style casters, which I wasn't really interested in. I just wanted some normal polyurethane casters, yet the flood of rollerblade-style casters made it nearly impossible to find normal polyurethane casters. Ultimately I was able to find only two or three options, of which these "zitriom" casters were by far the best-reviewed...at least at first glance.The short description bullet points for these casters had (and still has) some bizarrely out of place marketing copy that made these seem a bit fishy, which wasn't too comforting, and of course once I scrolled down to the reviews on these casters, I was a bit concerned about the two or three oddly-prominent reviews from people claiming their casters shed bits of polyurethane, and more than a little bemused about the top review which alleged that two casters simultaneously broke in such a catastrophic fashion that the reviewer was dumped onto the floor. I suspected some stretching of the truth there, and decided to take a risk on these since it seemed plenty of other people were satisfied with these casters and hadn't had similar issues.Once the casters arrived, I realized that my fears were unfounded. These are well built, better than I expected for the price. I had no trouble at all with installing these, and while the posts are a smidgen shorter than the posts on my chair's stock casters, this seems to have made no functional difference. There is no shedding of polyurethane whatsoever. The caster wheels roll super smoothly and easily on my wood floor — compared to the carpet-use casters that my chair came with, it was a night and day difference. I am 100% satisfied and will definitely be buying these again if I ever need to replace the casters on any other chair in the future.

I was extremely happy. They made me feel like a big wheel. Five stars doesn’t begin to describe how delighted I was to replace my old casters with these new ones. Do you know how hard it is for a 400 pounder to try to wheel around the kitchen on flat casters. Man, the effort that’s required is incredible. Now, some people would say “ why don told you go on a diet?” But believe me, it’s much easier to just replace the wheels on one’s chair than cut back on food intake. These zitriom Premium Office casters were a lifesaver. Perhaps the only disappointing aspect of this purchase was that I wanted three packages of the zitriom Premium Office caters because I have four chairs. So one package of five zitriom a Premium Office casters was not enough. This left me eleven zitriom Premium Office casters short. Now, I could have searched the internet for the remaining eleven, but they probably wouldn’t have been zitriom Premium Office casters. Alas, I was faced with a real Selena, right? So, guess what I did?

These are great. I took a chance that Universal really is Universal and it worked. The old, slowly disintegrating wheels were a bit stubborn to remove so I took the claw end of a hammer and pried them out. Contrary to what a reasonably sane and cautious person might fear, this did not damage anything connected to the chair. And it felt good! It took a few leverings to get the removal process going but once I could see the ringed portion of the wheel's shaft and position the claw above it, the wheel just popped right out.Buoyed by this triumph, I then used the other end of my hammer to pound, not tap but pound, the new wheels into place. Again, nothing was damaged or destroyed by my probably barbaric behavior. I stood with one of my legs to the inside of the wheel and braced the chair leg, then hammered away on the flat portion of the wheel's plastic covering.It is now the next morning and the chair rolls as if on air. Ahhh...life is good.

These caster wheels are awesome! The wheels on my 25 year old wooden office chair gave out. The chair fell while I was sitting in it. Luckily it is close to the floor. I just sank down into the carpet chair and all. Casters were old fashioned brass with ball bearings. Seemed difficult to remove and replace. Went shopping for a new chair. Could not find something as comfortable as my old chair at a reasonable price, we’re talking a 70 plus year old woman with fragile bones and some weight. Gave up on that and went shopping for casters. Did some deep research. Finally, found these highly rated casters for low price on Amazon. I went for it. A miracle! Removed old wheels, which were harder to take off than installing these perfect sized wheels. Cannot over emphasize what an improvement these wheels made to my good old chair. Smooth movement over rug, hardwood floor, etc. Did not realize how clunky old wheels were. Carrying my weight, I can slide from desk to bookshelves to files and back smoothly. There are no creaks, cracks or groaning sounds. Amazing value for the price.

Friends:* Grease the shaft in case you have to ever remove this from the chair.* A three inch x 1/2 inch block of wood should be held on the flat part of the caster to drive the shaft into the hole in the chair for the caster. Do not strike the rounded caster with wheel directly with a hammer or it will break.* These casters are strong but fragile like so many plastic parts...Thinking Allowed.....Arthur Gerard Michael Baron von Boennighausen

These casters are a perfect replacement for the ones that broke on the office chair. So far there are zero issues, and work great. Happy with the price, and make sure to change the entire set, if only one is broken, and keep the originals as a backup instead of replacing just one or 2, better to have the entire set installed to work good together.
