NEWLY MADE Pillow from Vintage HANDWOVEN Swedish Runner and 1950s Degas Ballerina Print on Front. On the back is a lovely dusky rose vintage linen and adorable pink ballet slipper buttons. Like every antique quilt, a beautiful pillow created from vintage textiles has a story to tell. SIZE: 30" X 16" or 76 X 41 cm STORY: A pair of talented hands carefully wove a striped table runner with various hues of dusty pink, berry pink, and salmon, as well as creamy white. This HANDWOVEN Scandinavian pretty pink runner is a tangible link to that expert patient weaver who carefully wove the blush pink and creamy white threads into a homespun runner for their vintage kitchen table. A handwoven linen is a poignant glimpse into our early 20th century past. We decided to upcycle this gorgeous handwoven runner into a large custom bolster pillow showcasing the lovely Degas Ballerina Print fabric. EDGAR DEGAS (1834 - 1917) is a French artist famous for his ballerina paintings. He was a classical painter of modern life. Though his father and grandfather expected him to attend law school, he defied their efforts and entered the art world. He was a confirmed bachelor who believed an artist should live alone and devote himself to his practiced art. Recognized as an important artist of his time, Degas is now considered one of the founders of impressionism.
