Fender»Yosemite® Strat® Pickup Set« Pickup-Set For Electric Guitar - Colour: Aged White

Brought some Stratty new spank back into my Strat that had noiseless pickups. Did A LOT of testing against many other pickups (several more expensive) and these came out on top for me. I like the medium output level, not too noisy, and treble without being ice pick.

Good neck and middle pickup. In the bridge position, despite being a 9 Ohm resistance pickup plus Alnico 2, it sounds very thin and ice picking.

This humbucker sounds really fantastic and works really well when split. The included schematic is fine if you're wiring this into a strat bridge, but for other wiring it is difficult to know what to do since Fender does not include color coding for the wires. I had to contact fender for that information, as it is not Fenders usual color codes!This is what they said:"The black is the start for the slug side and the white is the finish. The red is the tap. The Bare wire is the start for the other side and the green is the finish. the black and green need to be soldered together to connect both coils in series."Anyway, needless to say the design of the doubletap also means that there are some unique ways to split this humbucker. You want to use the full screw coil when split, and then the tap when the humbucker is on full.Anyway have fun

Installed these in an '02 - '03 MIM Strat. They are slightly hotter than vintage winds, but still have the vintage tone.I wired these according to the accompanying diagram (vol, neck tone, mid/bridge tone, .022 cap) and added a Gilmour switch and treble bleed.I'm quite pleased with the results, and this guitar now spans many genres in usability.
