Mom's hands stays cold. She loves these. She inserts them in her gloves and hand warmer mitts which fit comfortably. I bought the large box so we can store some in the glove compartment of the car. They do last for the hours specified too. These work great! We ran out some time ago and she's been complaining about her cold hands which affects her arthritis. Today I surprised her. Mom's a happy camper.

A case should get me thru the winter. These are so amazing. I regularly hang one out for my mail woman when the temperature drops. I've actually used them to warm my feet, in bed on especially cold nights...I keep the house cooler than most, for a variety of reasons. Throw one of these into the bed... remember the old bed warmers...ok, prbly not. Usually one that I've been using in the evening, to keep my fingers flexible. They're quite amazing, lasting fully a dozen hours or more. And hot they are... almost too hot initially, but whose gonna complain..

My son loves these. We order them all the time. He works outside all day and they really do keep your hands warm. Highly recommend if you're outdoors a lot in the winter. Fits well and lasts long.

The packages have starters to make it easy to tear open one or both pouches. I like that I can open only one if I don't need two. It takes a little bit to warm up, but then it's toasty and keeps me warm for many hours. At first, I would only use them if I knew I'd be outside for a long period of time, but now, I find them useful indoors too. I usually start by opening one or two to warm up my robe pockets on a cold morning, then I put them in my coat when I take a walk on a cold day, then I'll transfer them to a sweater pocket and eventually tuck them into a blanket I keep outside for a neighborhood cat who looks cold when the sun isn't shining. The heat lasts for a long time, and I've found it more comfortable and economical than increasing the heat for the whole house. Update 11/25/2012 After reading other reviews, I am updating mine to share that the "HOT" part of "Hot Hands" seems a bit misleading. Each person has their idea of what "hot" means. These are more hand WARMERs. They feel warmer tucked into a pocket than in my gloves, and warmer still when I fold one into my scarf, around my collar. The longer I have these in my pockets, as the hours pass, the warmer they get. Rarely would I say they feel "hot". I too have found that a cup that's just had boiling water poured into it is feels hotter, but I can't tuck that into my clothing, plus in short order a cup of hot water cools down. In this last box of warmers, which have an expiration date of 02/15/2012, I did have a couple of duds that barely got warm; and I got a couple that got unusually hot - which is likely what most people are expecting and why there is a burn hazard warning. That warning may lead us to believe that these will ALL get "hot" but from my recent experience with the HAND WARMERS, that's rarely the case. Typically, they get very "warm" in my opinion, which works very well for me. After reading more of the complains about this product, I decided to order the hand and body size. I'm curious to see if the size of the bag influences the amount of heat produced. I am still happy with the hand warmers for my use. When I am outside, I am mobile, I don't sit so my experience may be different than most.

I bought these to help a feral cat I feed to get through the winter, it's 2nd year of doing this. When it is 45 degrees F and below (recently was 15 degrees F), I put a few hand warmers into wool socks, that are placed on top of straw, into her enclosure. I don't know exactly how long they stay at maximum temperature for, but they are very warm at first and it is helping this kitty avoid hypothermia & frostbite, so I will keep purchasing them. It's great that electricity isn't needed for these to work. As soon as they're activated and put in the enclosure, she goes right in, so I know they are making her more comfortable. I switch them out twice a day, every 12 hours, so by the time I get to them they are cold, but I realize they're not meant to stay warm for that long. Also with all that I've used so far, not one has torn open.

These are great and super hot. I use them for about 1.5-2hrs in the Wisconsin winters while outside during my daughter’s horse riding lessons and still plenty of life in them afterwards. Does the job. Only thing is sometimes my hands have some sort of reaction to them, maybe a heat rash? Whatever it is, it is temporary and goes a way.

Easy to use, fits nicely in pockets or gloves, and they don’t have a strong smell. They heat up quick and last for hours! Having a full box on hand is very convenient on days that are just unbearably cold. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs reliable warmth in cold temperatures.

Used on our latest trip to NYC where it was 17 degrees for the past 3 days. Warmed up within a few mins and stayed hot for about 6 hours. Loved the product and would absolutely use/buy again. So impressive and was perfect for the cold weather. Thank you!

Love these things! I throw a packet in my boots to keep under my toes and in these SK temps, it totally keeps my feet from seizing up in the winter. I’ll also throw packets into my coat pockets so when my fingers get cold I can just hold onto them to reboot my fingers and go back to doing whatever I was doing before. They last for quite some time too, usually get about 4-6 hrs of heat from them.
