ProBreeze Dehumidifier- 3rd years review.
Bought this when we moved into our new house and had this running for nearly 3 years 24/7 in a garage. The garage does not have ventilation and we store all of our camping gear in there (we did not want mildew to grow in our tent or sleeping bags). We live in the South-East and know it can get very humid during the summers, so this seamed like a good buy. It has been great. We entered the garage frequently enough to notice when it was full- emptying it was maybe once every week during the summer and maybe once every month during the winters. I do wish it had a larger container for water, the 16 oz container does the trick if you are not too worried about emptying it frequently. It was quiet for all the time that it ran and I often had to look at it to see whether or not the “Full” indicator light was on. I never had a leak. I think it finally gave out recently when we had a thunder storm- I didn’t have it on a surge protector. I came out to the garage and noticed it felt more humid and that’s when I tried to troubleshoot it but it would not turn on anymore. I definitely recommend for an easy-to-use dehumidifier for a small space.

All in all? Look elsewhere, even if you're on a budget.
Sure, at first it kinda did the trick. I primarily used it in a small bedroom, near a poorly insulated window that experienced constant condensation/mildew issues throughout the year. The hygrometer I'd place nearby would register somewhat of a dip in humidity readings (but nothing drastic).Quickly realized it'd be a pain in the neck to empty out. Tilting it any manner of ways means that water would spill out from what seemed like a half-dozen different holes, orifices, seams. But at least when it was in operation it didn't leak—for now (spoiler alert). Still, I wish the emptying process was more intuitive. I could never seem to drain it completely; there was always some water left in the tank no matter what direction I tilted it.However, after two months the unit suddenly wouldn't turn back on. I reached out to ProBreeze who promptly responded and, after exchanging visual confirmation about the issue, kindly offered to send me a replacement unit. Nifty, right?Well, fast forward another two months and then the replacement started leaking. Normally upon filling to capacity the unit would shut itself off and its light would turn yellow. Nope! On three occasions within about a two week span, the unit would overflow, leaving a puddle around its base. No yellow light, no automatic shut-off—just wet furniture and carpet. At that point I again reached out to ProBreeze, who did issue a full refund my way. (It should be noted they were quick to reply and very kind in their responses! Kudos to them!) Instead of tossing the unit I gave it to my roommate who placed it on their windowsill and would be extra diligent about emptying the tank (without waiting for any automatic shut-off). Five months later and the unit's now buzzing loudly whenever turned on. We've officially given up on this piece of junk. I know it's only $40, and I know the company gave me a refund. But now I have TWO of these hunks of useless plastic to dispose of.You get what you pay for. And apparently I paid to have negligible dehumidification that was, after a constant battle to control how or when the water stayed in the tank, ultimately only suitable to a very small, confined space. The thing didn't even last the calendar year until winter rolled around... when I need it most.Spend your money elsewhere.

Excellent little dehumidifier!
I bought this dehumidifier almost 3 years ago for a small bathroom and it has worked like a champ all this time! You just have to remember to empty the chamber when it gets full. It lasts about 4 days before I have to empty it. Definitely 5 star rating!

Worked great, got our money’s worth.
Loved this little guy. Recommended to us by a family member. Had a total of four years, for around 40usd. So at $10 per year, it really helped knock down the moisture in our small bathroom. We live 5 miles from the Northern California coast, and to say moisture is an issue is putting it very mildly. Symptoms include fast mold developing on the walls, and sour smelling towels. This small unit handled it admirably, running pretty much 24hrs, and we’d empty the tank every 5th day or so. Tried to keep it lint free, and dismantle the tank to rinse with bleach. That would be the only gripe, the tank lid could come off, but it used tabs to hold it together, and you had to very carefully pop them apart without breaking them. We never did thankfully, but it’s a design choice I’d have skipped. So now it’s failure point is the fan has gone very noisy. Not sure if it’s just dirty, or if its bearing is shot from continuous running. Might take it apart to be sure, but we’re also looking at a slightly larger unit. All in all, if it works as designed, it was a good value.

quality
It has great absorption potential, takes up little space in your room or wherever you want, and does a wonderful job!
