I love it it was easy to put easy to take out but when you remove it from the hair try to remove slowly because if you remove it fast it’s get stuck and if you don’t have hair dye brush then you should buy one because the one it comes with it’s not really good I had mine so I was lucky otherwise it’s good it doesn’t leak to the rest of the hair and the highlights came pretty good love it

I use these caps to add a lot of tiny highlights to my hair as a first step in at home balayage/ombre coloring. I don't recommend this for traditional highlights without adding "roots"/darker tones back into the top of your hair. The space between your root and the plastic net's hole is enough that is causes your highlights to have a blunt obvious end. What I do is add highlights with this, then go back in with either an ash blonde toner or dark brown dye (depending on what look I want) and paint the color onto my roots, pulling it down an inch or so into the highlights every few inches across. I do this a day after the highlighting/bleaching process. This blends your natural root color (or darker tone, even if lighter than your natural color) into the tops of the highlights, which remedies the blunt highlight issue. If I want a real strong ombre look, I will bleach just the ends of my hair the day after I do the cap, and prior to adding the darkened roots. I do this by selecting sections and painting bleach onto them, blending and diffusing it upward. (Don't just clump bleach onto the ends). Sounds like a lot, but I get a lot of compliments on my hair and have spent maybe $300 on my hair in the last seven years (I used to spend that much every six weeks). If you thought these cheesy caps were a thing of the past and couldn't achieve a modern look, you'll be surprised at how well your hair will look blended when incorporating them into your ombre routine. I recommend getting a helper to help you pull your hair through the little holes. This is tedious to do on your own and requires multiple mirrors.This particular set was well made. The cap is double layered. I had no issues with the cap tearing or bleach leaking through. The plastic hook tool worked well. It hurts!..because you have to pierce the cap to access the hair, even though there are pre-punctured holes in the top, and then it pulls on your hair, but anyone who has used these before and is coming back for more is clearly tolerant of the pain.

It works. Take care not to enlarge the holes when you pull your stands through.It's not really sturdy but will work if your careful.There's better quality that you need not worry about having poka-dots because of leakage in an enlarged hole.If you have confidence that you'll not tear the hole. Item is good for doing highlights at home.

Not the greatest but got the job done hard to pull through but worked..

I used the cap to add some subtle ash brown LOW LIGHTS to my blonde hair and it turned out great! I did it in 2 separate days. First time I did just a little crown area and wanted to see how color came out then second time I did around face and in the back. Make sure you brush out strands real good once hair is pulled through. Protect your hair underneath from dye by tucking it under cap or cover with plastic bag. Dont bother taking cap off before getting in shower just wash it out with cap on then take it off when water runs clean. I'm going to save my cap and might try touching up blonde roots with it in a couple monthe!

This was a great product for an even better price. It included everything you needed to do your own highlighting. It did take about a week to be delivered but the product was exactly what they advertised. I will buy again!

I've been using highlighting caps for a few years.Normally I use the cap that comes with the OTC box highlighting/frosting hair color kit. So, I'm accustomed to how they fit, how to use them, etc.But I wanted to experiment using pro color products, so I wanted to order JUST the cap.I really did not need all the accessories (cloves, brush, etc) that came with this kit, and there are several dozen other vendors that sell these caps, but I selected this product, and this vendor, because the vendor claimed it was in stock and I was hoping to receive it quickly.It took 2 weeks to arrive (not horribly long, given Covid delays, but longer than they claimed and longer than I hoped)After searching Amazon, I got the impression there is only one size, one manufacturer, of highlighting caps? Now, after purchasing this cap, I do not think this is true. The cap that arrived is 20% Smaller than normal caps. Maybe it's all the same manufacturer and this was just one weird cap? But the too-small size made using the cap really challenging.First: I couldn't pull it all the way onto my scalp-- there was a bubble of air at the top-- a gap of 1"-2"-- because it was too tight to pull down any further, and it would not fit around my head. So ensuring a snug fit, and that hair was coming through the holes correctly was not possible.Second: because the cap was so tight, and i had to leave it on for over an hour (for pulling hair through and for processing), by the time I finally took it off, it was a HUGE relief, and I had quite the headache.I "made it work" but it was hassle and I won't be buying this again.Since then, I've ordered more caps through a different vendor-- they came faster and they fit property. I would not recommend this product.

This product makes life so simple. Really easy to work with. The product quality is amazing and can be reused multiple times
