Be PATIENT!
I replaced my 16 year old cover on a Yamaha FXHO. Contrary to the manufacturers instructions, I removed the old cover and let the foam dry out for a week or so. I also ordered a $25 pneumatic stapler from Amazon, along with 1/4” stainless steel staples. In my opinion, a powered stapler will save you a lot of worry. The key is to center and align the cover on the seat, then staple one end. Just jump in and do it! You can remove the staples if you need to work a wrinkle. You really have to work the cover tight to get all the wrinkles out. Just take your time. I used no glue on the foam, so when I got down to the last few wrinkles, I placed the seat in the sun for 30 minutes and the covered stretched tightly, wrinkles gone. Don’t worry about the excess until you get it completely stapled. To trim, take a single straight edge razor and easily hand trim the excess. Use as many razors as needed as the material will full blades quickly. Be patient, and remember that it won’t be perfect like the factory install, but this BlackTip cover is about 1/2 the price of an upholstery shop. Just FYI, my total install time for 2 seats was about 3 hours. Very pleased with my results. Good Luck

First upholstery job
This is not a overlay to existing cover. You will need to remove all the staples from previous cover and stretch the new cover over the cushion. But time and patience will prevail. This is a fantastic cover. Expect to spend a day or longer to complete and do a good job. The cushion is made for the 1/4” stainless steel staples, which you should use.

Great Fit
I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality and the fit of this seat cover. I have no real experience with upholstery work except for putting a few seat covers on our dining room chairs. I installed this seat cover on my 2004 Yamaha Waverunner FX 1100-C. The new seat cover was installed over my old seat cover, which had several holes in it. I covered those holes with some duck tape prior to installing the new seat cover. I am glad that I left the old cover on as it made the whole process of installing this seat cover much easier. The color is not a perfect match to my old one, but I am very happy with the way that it turned out. Only time will tell how it holds up.

Nice Fit
Fit nicely, don't pull of the old one just go right over the top. Easy install with a air stapler.

Disappointing
It will not fit unless you stretch the cover passed it limits and then it is hovering off the foam. Would have been better made with a few more panels to allow for proper fitment. There is a video on their website, but it only goes a few minutes into the main seat and and starts on the aft part of the seat, but it eliminates the front part of the seat installation and shows no finishing views. It would be better to have more guidance on the installation and show the final result. There is no way to make this cover fit the non-cruiser FX series wave runners.
