I think it deserves 5 stars!
I wanted to write a good review on this because when I ordered it, I saw there was a mix of reviews on this- so I wasn't sure if I would like the purchase or not. I want to help future people see what they're getting-- both pros and cons. I believe strongly this book deserves 5 stars for several reasons. If you don't know what a quiet book is, then you won't understand it is supposed to be made out of cloth. You'll be able to tell it is NOT cheaply made. This quiet book is far cuter than some of the other quiet books out there. They have given it a fair price of $20.00. I would NOT spend less. This book has 6 pages, unlike other quiet books-- which only have about 4 pages. Each of the pages are totally different, keeping the child entertained. My daughter is 1, and she loves doing all the different pages. Some pages she doesn't understand how to do the tasks, but she is still able to play with it... So this book should last her a long time.Pros: The fact that this book has more pages than other books, the fact that this book is FAR cuter than other books, the fact that this book is $10-$20 less than the other quiet books out there makes me think this book deserves 5 stars. This book has soooo many details and cut-outs for the kids to play with. This is why I gave it 5 stars.Cons: You are not going to get the letters on the front of the book. The way I see it, you are getting more pages though than other quiet books, so even without the letters on the front of the book, you are getting more. Just know what to expect. One more detail, there will be a couple pairs of 'pant' cut outs for a character that aren't exact, but there are a lot of other clothes for character on one of the pages, so this wasn't enough of a con to out-way all the pros... I hope this helps.

Great concept, so so execution
Ok so let me begin by saying that i bought this as a gift for a niece looking forward very much to get one for my own son in a few months when he's a bit older. I've been pinteresting quiet books but simply felt too lazy to do one myself from scratch, and when i accidentally found this one on amazon i decided to go for it even with the slightly steeper price, just because i value good handmade toys to really stimulate our children nowadays. That been said, i had regular expectations for the quietbook, nothing outrageous. Regular activities for a child to master slowly, but sturdy enough to hold on to a small child's use. And this is not the case. It is well made, don't get me wrong. But it is not "practically" made. It has velcro to "stick" on surfaces that don't stick (they use plain felt and not the fuzzy one that offers grip to velcro), loose objects that will unevitably get lost as soon as the child pops the book open the first time. The front picture frame has some sort of crumpled plastic bag material that doesn't let the picture show correctly. But mostly, i'm most annoyed about the fact that there is so much velcro with nowhere to stick to. At the end i ended up not even giving my niece the book even if i had already so excitedly showed it to her mom on pictures because i knew her expectations would not be met and i'd end up looking not so greatly that i gave her daughter a book with tiny loose felt pieces, some even with harsh velcro on the back for no purpose (because there is nowhere to stick them to, seriously...even the letters to write the name on the front cover are velcro and they simply won't stick to the cover...i thought at least those would be adhesive), that her little girl could end up swallowing and choking on. All in all a good solid waste of almost 30 bucks.

Hours of educational play!
This book is a very unique and interesting gift for a young child (or the child's parent!). My children were very excited about playing with all the pieces and turning up new activities on each page. I can see that it would easily keep a child entertained for quite some time. I would recommend saving it for special occasions so it would be even more exciting. I would use it at appointments, for traveling, or church. This review is more specifically for the boy book because twice Amazon sent it instead of the girl version. The books are similar enough that I feel this review is applicable. The activities in the boy book include a clock with moving hands, a night and day sky to decorate with Velcro and felt, a dog with a tongue that attaches to buttons, lady bugs on leaves (Velcro and felt), cars of felt with button wheels on a string highway, a man and woman to dress in several outfits, loops to run a string through, and shoes to tie. There is also a set of alphabet letters so you can learn to spell or personalize the book cover. As you can see, there are plenty of activities to keep little hands and minds busy! The positive aspects:The book is larger than I expected and is a perfect size for toddlers. My 11 year old loved playing with the book with her little sister. Bonus! It kept them both occupied.Toddlers and preschoolers can practice motor skills with each activity as each one is a little different.I don't see why you couldn't add more Velcro and felt pieces of your own if you're even a tiny bit crafty. You could even make simple clothing for the man and woman to match your child's favorites. The negatives with the book:I had a hard time getting some of the pieces to stick securely. I think it would improve over time as the felt got worn in.Some of the clothing didn't quite line up with the arms and legs. Probably not a huge deal for young ones.I think the string through loops would be easier if there was an end like a shoestring instead of just string. The end is getting a little fluffy and harder to push through holes. The felt pieces can go into pockets, but otherwise aren't secure in the book. If it were dropped, the pieces would fall out. You may want to put the book in its own carrying bag.Overall, I believe the negatives are easily overcome with a minimal effort. I am confident that my young ones will have many, many fun hours with their book.I received the book at a discount in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion.

I purchased this book for just 99 cents, so I feel as though I really can't complain. Definitely seems hand made which I think is nice. The only con I have is that the felt pieces have Velcro on the back to make the stick, however it's not a true felt so really doesn't stick well so I imagine we may lose pieces in the future. But again for the price I felt happy with the purchase.
