Seller should describe more how good it is and more professional product pictures.
This thing is great. It works perfect and is honestly better than I could have ever guessed. It is really good quality tempered glass which looks so much nicer than what I was expecting. I was thinking cheap acrylic for this price. The description and the photos are weak sauce that don't show how great it is. I felt like I was guessing if it would fit. It says "For 30 inch tanks" and since I don't know anything about tanks I was like, "what about all the other dimensions? Are all 30" tanks are all the same sizes in the other measurements?"Apparently all 30" tanks ARE all the same. If not then you would know because you made something custom. This fits like a glove it comes with a great little piece that snaps onto the back to give you room for the filter no matter how big the filter is.It really is perfect. I am a little irritated at myself for wasting time shopping around so much.

Arrived broken, CS refunded my purchase
It's glass. You've seen how shippers treat boxes. I buy indestructible things here that come packed with two dozen air pillows and a yard of crumpled paper. But this? In just the manufacturers box, no padding. Buy glass locally, shipping it is a crap shoot. In any case this is the best aquarium lid I've seen, I had one ony oldest tank and bought another locally to replace this one.

Good fit for my 29 gal. tank
I am happy with this lid and how well it fit my 29 gal. tank! The glass was well packaged and yes, I would buy this again! But the plastic handle was broken inside the box before I could even take it out of the plastic bag! Would like a replacement handle to replace the broken one! Otherwise, I would have given this purchase a higher rating!

A great improvement to my aquarium but ...
I had to go to Petco to buy it in person. I ordered it online and everything was on track for delivery until I got an email saying that my refund had been processed. Wha???? I remember reading in one review that the product arrived in pieces (glass needs to be packaged very carefully), so I surmise that Petco did not ship because they've had to replace or refund too many aquarium covers. That said, the only complaint I have is that the rigid plastic piece that goes on the back of the cover and must be cut to accommodate the filter and heater has a very narrow slot that makes it practically impossible to slip on to the glass cover. Luckily, I have a husband with a miter box and hacksaw, as well as good muscles needed to slide the correctly cut-to-size plastic into place. There were anxious moments when we worried if we could get the plastic on without snapping the glass.

The cheap plastic ruins what would otherwise be a perfect product
Update :I'm reducing this to one star. I would not use this again even if someone gave it to me for free. Not only were the lids sheep, but the whole thing was cheap. Two of the four have broken hinges now just from opening and closing the front part once a week. And once the hinges break it is far too easy for its to fall into the aquarium while opening it. It's a good thing I don't have fish in them or they would all be dead by now with how many times these have fallen in. One of them I had to actually remove entirely So currently has no lid. These would have been better if they fit around the aquarium rather than inside it and if they had hinges that were actually strong and a handle that actually stays on and and a back that fully covers the back and, well, if they actually designed them to function with their own branded aquariums properly.Come spring I'm going to have to redo my entire setup to use a higher profile aquarium cover. Since these lives were literally a waste of $100 I will have a preference for ANY brand other than Aqueon.Original Review :_____________If you buy, beware that the handle is cheap plastic that isn't separated from the heavy glass. Each and every one I bought on Amazon arrived with a broken handle and those aren't sold separately. I ended up buying again from Petco, and from there only 1 in 4 had a broken handle. It was also significantly cheaper.I purchased four of these for a stack of 4 aquariums I setup in front of a window. The purpose being to grow a backup culture of Spirulina rather than fish, so the green is a good thing.I needed to prevent water from bubbling out, but also needed a low profile so that I can open it just enough to run a pipe in for pumping water in and out for innoculating the outside tanks. This seemed like it would be perfect, especially since the aquariums are the same brand. I expected the ability to cut out holes for tubes.Unfortunately, this doesn't fully cover it. Even the back plastic piece doesn't go back far enough and one side left or right will also have a gap so culture bubbled out - hence the white on the lid in the picture. Water gets out and evaporates. I had to get plastic wrap to cover the rear opening. The adhesive holding the handle in place is also very flimsy and will fall off if the surface gets wet so I'd suggest using gorilla glue on it to keep it there permanently. The fact that it's not supported at all in the back means that it would also fall in very easily if you try moving it off to the side.Overall it works for my needs, but it's less than ideal. I'd never buy something so cheap for my fish.If Aqueon reps are reading this :1.) Replace the cheap plastic handle with wood and package better so it doesn't arrive broken.2.) Just go with a larger piece of glass so it's fully supported and a side plastic clip for one or both rear corners. The plastic you include doesn't cut, and even if it did it has too much room in the back and side to side to need that.

Great upgrade!
This lid is sleek and minimalist looking. It helps to cut down on evaporation and fits my 29 gallon tank perfectly. Great lost cost upgrade from the basic black hood that pet stores sell.

Not snug for 20g Long aquarium
I purchased the same brand 2 years ago for a 10g tank & the fit was snug. This one is for a 20g Long. The total size must be snug for my hermit crabs to trap heat & humidity. The length is good. The width could be better. There's a gap - too big for my liking - that allows air to enter & sneaky crabs to find a way to escape. I'm disappointed because this brand was great for the smaller tank. I've found that glass lids are the best for hermit crab environments.

Small gap in the back is perfect
Real size is 74cm x 28cm. Photos speak for themselves. This is a 29 gallons (76.2cm x 30.48cm or 30" x 12"). Very satisfied.

Fit perfect size
I likes this glass aquarium lid. I needed this for my aquatics plant growth better with more light. Thank-you so much!

Pas satisfaisant
The media could not be loaded.
