this brush is amazing! What used to take well over an hour ...
I paid full price for this. I was NOT given it for free. I wasn't really expecting much for $36 (now $30) Was I wrong, this brush is amazing! What used to take well over an hour now takes about 20-25 min. of sitting at the kitchen table with a mini mirror while watching a show versus standing in the bathroom working. I don't even blow dry first. I have naturally thick curly hair that dries very frizzy when naturally dried. In my opinion it wouldn't work as well on thinner hair. My hair used to be shaped thinner at the bottom and it didn't hold the hair as well. Now that it has been cut and grown back full like the rest of my locks it's perfect. I feel like the thickness of my hair in the brush is what keeps it from tangling and it goes through smooth. My hair is not bulky or frizzy when it's done, it's smooth and thin not bulky and thick. Like a person that has straight hair when you can just tell it's really not straight. It's so straight, after I am done. I like to use my flat iron quickly on the front to make the ends curl under and give me some bounce, bounce me I have bounce! It totally changes the thick course blob on my head to beautiful hair without the work! The only problem for me is that you can't clean the brush and since I put product in my hair, one being an oily thermal protection spray the brush now steams and on my last use my hair smelled a bit. I put a little hair perfume and now it's fine. I have had the brush for 5 months and I use it about once a week to every 10 days. I am ordering a new one or maybe 2 today, for $30 every 5 months it is totally worth it to me.

What a huge disappointment!
What a huge disappointment! After a lot of research about ceramic hair brushes I have come to the conclusion that this diesign is way better than the oval one, and I was right, you can get to the roots and straighten them equally (but not as good as a hair straightener).About this product:It was so easy to use and did a great job straightening my thick curly hair in almost half the time, my hair looked good but not as straight as when I use a hair flat iron, I wished from the bottom of my heart that I could depend on it for along time.I don't live in the US currently so I needed a dual voltage device, according to the company salesman answer to a question in the section above, this can work with 220 as well, however, when I checked the device I found that it clearly states "110 v" ! I contacted the seller and he couldn't gave a solid answer! First he said they are going to test it to see if it can work with 220 v, then said that it worked but not sure about the ionec feature thing, and then advised me to not use it with 220 for along period of time!! And so I was using an adapter after I was clearly deceived. (He told me they are ready to send me another one but I don't think they ship internationally)After using it for only 4 times for less than 10 minutes each it actually STOPPED WORKING!! What a huge disappointment! It didn't look cheap and I was using it with care (only 110v, didn't fall, kept away from kids) but it's not working anymore.I'm still going to contact the company to have a refund.Update:The seller was really cooperative and offered to send me a new one free of charge, I will definitely review it again when I receive it.

Smooths hair without frying it
Over the past few months, I have tried different hair straightening brushes. So far, this one is my favorite. I have long, naturally curly, color treated hair. I do not like my hair stick straight, but there are times that I want it to be more refined. (I generally just let it air dry since it has a mind of its own.) I don't use a flat iron and rarely use a blow dryer. The brush is ceramic and heats up quickly - less than a minute and it's at top temperature. Obviously, use caution around little ones. I was able to smooth my unruly hair easily. I had no fly- aways or frizz. I really like what this brush does for my hair. On days that I want it to look nicer, I just blow dry enough to get the majority of the water out of my hair, then use the brush to smooth it out. It's easy to use, especially for someone who isn't fond of doing a lot of primping. I like the swivel cord so it doesn't get tangled. If you are looking for completely straight hair, you won't achieve that with this brush. However, if you use the brush to get your hair as straight as you can, then use a flat iron, you will save your hair from the overuse of heat. Overall, I like this brush a lot. I received this item at a reduced rate in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
