Size is letter size not shaft size.
Be clearer about the actual stamp size versus the stamp shaft. Stamp shaft is larger than lettering which is the specified size on site.

Holder Cumbersome and Not Effective, But Stamp Is Fine
When I first started stamping, I did it by just holding the stamp firmly with my fingers and hitting it with a hammer. It worked. However, I saw this little gadget and thought maybe it would make stamping easier and more effective. Ha! Not for me. I tested stamping with and without this gadget. It seems like the holder reduces the force of the blow and the stamped images are less well defined. This holder came with a very nice heart stamp...so I am rating on an average...5 for the stamp, 1 for the jig gadget.

Helpful tool.
Great for lining up the stamp properly to get a good impression the first time. Also protects your hand from the hammer. Fits the impressart stamp perfectly but the opening is large for my other brand of stamps. Still useable though just have to line things up and hold tighter to avoid movement. Much better than stamping with bare hands.
