Smooth operating and writing action, definitely a cut above the lousy old Rotring I had before. Green pen mysteriously light in shade, as noted by other users, but still usable.The carbon fibre look is smooth and well executed, although it does not seem to have the 3D depth one would expect from lacquered carbon, leading me to speculate whether this is real or a repro. Loses one star for that, the green pen and for not being a bargain, but otherwise a solid buy.UPDATE: having finally run out of blue, I found the correct refill, but could not fathom how to change it (no instructions either with the pe or online). A email to the manufacturer did get a quick response, but the "recommended" method (pull really hard on the refill in place) resulted in what feels like a stretched spring internally, and a blue pen that now won't retract without being pushed back in. Not good, so another two stars off.

I have purchased this product yesterday. It arrived today.No refills, even though it is decribed that way.Red ballpoint was faulty. It writes only when I hold it on a certain direction and certain angle. Black blue and green didn’t have same problem. It is ridiculous to make such a nice pen faulty on main functionality which is writing. Just fix the balls of these pen. We are on 2019. What kind of lack of technology is this!?I have ordered the same for tomorrow, hopefully I will not have the same problem.

This is a superior writing instrument and a rare one; a four-colour ballpoint that looks a bit classy. If you like a bit of heft to your pen, in a package that nevertheless looks good, this is for you.

I’m a stationary nerd and this pen is great. It was tricky to use at first but simply hold flat with the colour you want facing up, press the top and you have the colour you need.

The mechanism is absolutely at fault. I echo other negative feedback. Do NOT buy this junk!
