OPI Nail Lacquer, An Affair in Red Square, Red Nail Polish, 0.5 fl oz

This is a very pretty crimson color, perfect for the holidays coming up, it goes on very smooth, it's not gooey. Dries pretty quick, and the color lasts pretty long, depending on what type of cleaning you will be doing, like the dishes, I put on a dry fast top coat by " Seche Vite" it's not oily, it really dries my nails quickly!! And I did my nails about 4 days ago and they still look pretty darn good! And it keeps my nails nice and shiny. I only put a top coat on dark color nail polish, if I don't, if my nails get dragged against the wall or our white cabinets you see a dark nail polish line then I have to get my Cutex nail polish remover to get it off the wall or cabinet.

I LOVE Red nail polish, OPI reds in particular and "An Affair in Red Square" from the Russian collection is by far my favorite, with "St Petersburgandy" a close second! I have been buying OPI polishes for 10 years now and every time I buy a new one it's in search of the perfect shade of red for my taste. With this shade, I do believe I've found it. Two coats and you have a striking color, three coats and you have perfection...rich, romantic, red. "An Affair in Red Square" has a bit of gold shimmer to it, which gives the color warmth and depth. If you love red like I do, you can't go wrong with "An Affair in Red Square"My nail technician blends my OPI colors with a clear gel which she then applies to both my finger nails and toe nails, since I only have "tips" (think french manicure but instead of white, red is used) on my fingernails and full color on my toes, I can go up to 8 weeks between fills with just a quick "buff and shine" inbetween to keep the color vibrant."An Affair in Red Square" is now my signature color and when I decide I need to lighten things up, my go to color for pink is "Nice Color, Eh!" from OPI's Canadian Collection.

This is the only RED color nail polish I'll use, it's my favorite. Has some shimmer to it, which I love. I don't care for flat colors.

Amazing red. This is darker than the new danke shiny red but this is a deep dark shiny ruby with a bit of shimmer. Looks like it has a top coat before I put the top coat on. It's that Christmas red I was looking for. Great in one coat. With 3 it would be vampy if thats what you are looking for. A richness of color too good to be true. I have Big Apple Red as well which is a flat pure red that doesn't have the jewel tone, the depth, the richness I was looking for. This one does. Perfect for the holidays and all through the winter.

This is such a Beautiful color! I get so many compliments on it. The OPI brand is excellent because it goes on smoothly and if you don't put it on evenly at first you can easily try to fix it without causing major streaks, and having to polish your nails all over again. With some of the cheaper polish you get one shot at putting the polish on evenly. The polish does stay on long, but I also put on Orly rubberized basecoat which seems to help it stay on even longer.

Great Christmas color

Thanks for carrying my favorite Red OPI color! I cannot find Affair in Red Square anywhere. Got this just in time for the holidays!! This color reminds me of Christmas ornaments so it goes great with my holiday outfits. OPI is the best nail polish I have found for long lasting color without chips. I like OPI's brush which delivers the color evenly.

As you would expect OPI polish is really the top of the line. In this time of no mani/pedis... sometimes you just need to do this yourself. Red is tough and a real skill. But it you don't look too close, it works! I will be really glad when I can get a professional mani/pedi again!
