Purchasing something for twice the amount it costs in US is not a great experience, but the quality is really good and I'm sure it's going to be really helpful in rough situations for camping.

I recently bought the REDCAMP military folding shovel as a Christmas gift for a friend. I was very impressed with the quality of the tool. The combination shovel and sturdy pick is great. The shovel blade has a small serrated edge. This compact unit folds and fits perfectly in the attached pouch. The pouch takes almost no room in the trunk of the car and is light enough to carry in your emergency "get home bag". This is a must have tool for anyone who travels in snow or mud, or country or mountainous driving situations. I liked it so much I ordered another for myself! This is a high quality and affordable tool. You might never need it but if you do, you will be grateful to have it.

I've returned after 2 years and many uses (I bought 1 for each car) to say how impressed I am with these! I spent probably 2hrs looking into these folding shovels, because I really wanted that perfection of price and function. They are very sturdy, they look and feel good, the paint hasn't chipped, the pick is great and easy to toggle up and down, it locks tight, the handle is fine (not super comfortable, but are any of these?). For the money I feel proud if choosing these. Well done Red Camp, I'll be a return customer. Zero problems and I've done sand, ground, rock, snow, holes, shaping, beach trips. Approved for kids as well!
