Sturdy, almost perfect
I chose to buy this carrier for the smart design -- it is one of the only top-loading carriers on amazon in which the handles are not attached to the door. Who wants to break the lock that is holding the door shut just by trying to carry the cat?!?It kept my 15 pound cat contained for the 1/2 hour car ride to the groomers. I had the carrier in the front seat next to me while I drove, and he was able to see me and complain to me. He will normally bust out of a cardboard carrier in 2 seconds, and there is no stuffing him into a side-loading carrier, he's just way too strong for that to happen! The only reason I'm not rating it 5 stars is that he scraped his nose on the grates in his losing battle to escape this carrier. If there's a way to coat or bend the grates outward so they don't form sharp edges, then it will be a lot more safe. Otherwise, it's perfect!

Our cat is not a very good traveler so I'm trying to find the best carrier ...
Our cat is not a very good traveler so I'm trying to find the best carrier for her. This one is easy to get her into (once I figured out how to get her legs and tail in - she can spread out her legs and grab the edges of the carrier) and she has plenty of room to turn around. She is a small cat - I don't think any of my larger cats (12+ pounds) would fit comfortably. The down side is she can't stick her paws out. The up side was she felt safer in this container once she got used to space. I loved that it came with a mat. It's lightweight so carrying it was comfortable. I liked the double handles. The latch is secure and tight - not easy to undo but safer for car travel.

Absolutely love this cat carrier
Absolutely love this cat carrier! Took my cat to the vet for his annual check up and getting him in and out couldn't have been easier. Thank goodness the ordeal of trying to cram them into one of the old type hard sided carriers with the small front metal wire door (while they are spread eagle frantically trying to claw and bite my hands and arms) is a thing of the past. So simple to just pop open the top, place the cat in and close and latch the lid. My Chester never even flinched and within ten seconds he was inside the carrier and ready to head to the vet's office. One note: My largest cat weighs about 12 pounds and there is very little room for him to move around in the carrier but for short fifteen to twenty minute trips it should do just fine! Also like the small pad inside that helps keep the cat comfortable and you can throw in the washing machine if there's an accident. I highly recommend this product!

I love the look of this basket
I love the look of this basket!Unfortunately (fortunately), I haven't been able to use it to actually transport my cat, but I've left it open for her to explore and get comfortable with it.She's not "box cat", but jumped right in and curled up.For size reference, my cat is a 12 pound maine coon mix- so pretty fluffy. She fits fine, but with not much room for her to adjust.I gave this 4 stars because 1) I haven't really used it. And 2) Though very aesthetically pleasing, might not be the most efficient way to transport a pet.Came with a super thoughtful hand-written note though :)

Four Star Carrier
This wonderful carrier is quite clever and original. At first glance and observation, I immediately noticed how sturdy yet light weight the carrier was. I put my 12lb ragdoll in with no problem. Dropping her in and picking her up from the top was a breeze. The lock is secure. Just push down on the tab and you'll hear it click closed. The color is vibrant and it comes with a soft bedding. I love that it also comes in other fun colors. I'm giving this carrier 4 stars for being sturdy, easy to handle, well built and attractive.

This is the best cat carrier ever - no other carrier allowed me ...
This is the best cat carrier ever - no other carrier allowed me to put Ms. Tuffy inside so quickly and without fuss. She is not cooperative. The customer service is great. We even received a thank you card! How often these days does that happen?

Good design, just not for my cat
I liked the design but my cat wouldn't even go near it. He has long legs so it would have been a scrunch to get him to fit with the lid closed. It might work for toy dogs or smaller pocket pets but not for a full grown cat.
