I would give 5 stars if the radio tuner was digital and it was more rugged, i can see this thing breaking easily but matches the price. Gonna miss stations because tuner is so finite. Flashlight is bright considering its just a small LED. Seems rugged enough. Would give more stars if it were more rugged and water proof.

everything works ok, but solar panel does not charge it at all. seems like it's fake. left it outside on the sun 2 days and it did not charge at all.

This exceeded my expectations and is much better than units purchased a local survival supply stores.

I have not used the flashlight yet and so cannot give you a review. I am leaving for Cuba on Feb 10 and am taking the flashlight to our minister, who requested a battery operated flashlight. I hope this one serves her well. Ut will not be able to let you know until I return. Keep in touch.

I bought this because you can never be too prepared for storms but I had no idea how well it would work. When it arrived, I was initially disappointed because there was no paperwork explaining it at all. Not that it's not mostly self explanatory. The only issue I wasn't sure of at first was the fact that it says it charges phones, but there is no USB connection on the device at all so I didn't understand how that worked. It comes with a cord and a male and female USB adapter. In other words, you can put the male USB adapter on one of the cord and plug the other in to the light at the DC6V plug indicator and charge it, or you can switch the plug to the phone indicator and put the female adapter on and plug you USB cord for your phone charge in. Now, the device has a 3 LED flashlight, a 2 LED flashing red light across the handle, the handle appears to be a small solar panel and the description says it is solar, it has an AM/FM radio that picks up two stations in my area on FM and one on AM and a setting where the red light flashes rapidly and a VERY LOUD siren goes off. It also has a hand crank so you can generate your own energy if you need. I tested the flash light and the radio on winding power for kicks and giggles and got the following. I wound it at a moderate rate (about twice per second) for one minute each time. The radio lasted just under 3 minutes with it's minute of winding and the flashlight lasted at a usable brightness for about 6-7 minutes while it stayed on for well over 10 minutes but was so dim you couldn't do much with it. I would say that's a pretty good return for one minute of winding. The only con I see to this device is that there is nowhere to store the cord and attachments so I'm sure they will get lost over time. Overall I would say this is a handy device to have in the home if you have nasty weather rolling through your area. I did purchase this device at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased opinion.
