Looks good, not too big. Perfect toast. Great that we can now toast thicker bread without it breaking up all over. Worth every penny. Looking forward to toasting hamburger brioches and bagels.

Looking at all the reviews I wasn’t going to order this toaster but I needed a long slot toaster as my second Kenwood once again blew up just after the guarantee ran out so this to me looked good despite the poor reviews I thought I’d draw my own conclusions. First try was with frozen bread, not very good at all, one side white the other burnt ! Next, fresh Warburtons toastie, read somewhere setting 2.3 was good for this so set the same, result.....perfect light golden all over, tried 2 more pieces on same setting perfect again. Tried next day and it popped up a little under done so pushed it back down again and stood over it lifting slots occasionally until done to liking, fine, that’ll do me I thought and it toasts evenly. Ok so frozen bread not to good but I don’t cook from frozen that often so don’t mind. Build quality is very good plus it feels solid and well built. I’ll see how it goes and update if any problems. Would recommend this product now I’ve tested, the browning control is very sensitive just a couple of clicks either way can make a big difference and I think that’s the problem other reviewers may of had. Experiment to get it right. Hope this helps in your decision to buy or not.

I specifically needed a long slot toaster as I have a good allergy which means I toast bloomer sized bread and a normal slot just doesn't do it. The design is beautiful, as you'd expect, sits very firmly on the worktop and fulfils all my toasting requirements. As others have mentioned though, its powerful. You really do need to keep an eye on it, anything about 3 and you'll make charcoal. It still has enough graduation before that to get the toast level you want, you just need to work out what you like and what position the dial needs to be. The lift during cook option is great and stops the sequence from restarting unnecessarily.

Bought for son & daughter in law for Christmas, they love it

Bought one hoping to finally get a toaster that toasted evenly (someone I knew had one that they'd had for ages & the heating elements were closely & evenly spaced).The one I got had the usual cheap, widely & unevenly spaced elements that every toaster seems to have these days. The toasting was uneven across the bread & completely different on one side to the other.I'm starting to think there's now just one factory somewhere in the world knocking out bad toaster elements that every manufacturer buys from.They were good once, but these days Dualit just charge you a fortune for making a fancy box to put the same elements in that you'd get in a £25 supermarket own brand job.
