Puberty, Periods and all that stuff! GIRLS ONLY!: How Will I Change?

Has a lot of info that explains changes for a preteen.

Daughter is 11 and I had no idea where to start. I had “the talk” with her when she was 8 but she paid very little attention then. I decided I should start with good book so semi-blindly (I DID skim over other reviews) bought this book. I finally got around to reading it before handing it over and I LOVE the book!!! It addresses more than I ever thought to address and the WAY it is addressed is very positive. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone looking!

Okay I was pre reading this for my daughter. If your child is immature and young like mine I suggest you also pre read this book. You may want to determine which parts of the book you let your child read. There is a lot of stuff on self confidence and mood swings and the mechanics of puberty that I thought was very helpful. However there were more teenage topics like peer pressure for sex, or drugs or eating disorders that are too advanced for my kid. Just because a child is having physical changes does not always mean socially they are ready for those types of ideas, so just use your own judgement of your own child. Overall I am glad I purchased it and I think the book will be helpful even if she needs to read it in sections and as she matures.

This book is amazing it teaches u how to do things in life an the challenges to get threw. Everybody should read it only girls though lol

My granddaughter loves these books. She shares them with her cousins and friends to read.

I was not happy with some of the sections, so I would have to keep the book and read parts to my 11 year old. Some of the chapters would open up more questions a 10 or 11 would not need to know yet. Know you child, some children may be able to handle the material in the chapters , other kids may be too immature and not comprehend it. My child is too young for it. I found a better book for her. Girl to Girl honest talk. It was the perfect fit for my daughter. Not this one.

I love this book because it told me more information about puberty.I didn't like that it told some (to me) inappropriate stuff!But still,I love it!!!!

Covers all the basic teenage questions in a easy going natural way, my teenagers are already asking for the rest of the series.
