Watermelon Slicer Corer/Watermelon Cutter & Server cantaloupe cutter melon slicer Stainless Steel with Melon Baller and Fruit Carving Knife (As Seen on TV)

This watermelon slicer made it much easier and less messy to cut up a watermelon. The two blades are positioned far enough apart to give a thick cut without being unwieldy. The bar at the end of the blades, though round, efficiently cut the fruit and allowed large slices to be removed at one time. I did find myself overlapping some of my cuts as well as having to make a second pass in order to fully remove all the edible parts. The handle is comfortable and while the gripping action of the tool is a bit awkward, it allows you to remove your slices without squishing them. The little piece that scrape the bottom also helps when you pull the slice out. Seemed to work great, for the first quarter of the watermelon. Then the small cutting piece at the bottom broke off in the watermelon. This was only the first time I used it, so there is no excuse for it breaking. If you buy this, be sure to read the fine print on the warranty about how quickly you have to register the product for the warranty to be in effect. I missed the window, so now I have a tool destined for the trash bin.

Awesome.Makes serving and slicing a watermelon so quick. Just be careful not to push too hard towards the rine as the blades are rather thin and can bend. I was worried about it breaking actually but[knock on wood] hasnt happened so far. Also make much less of a mess than slicing the thing and cubing it the old fashioned way.

My order arrived ahead of schedule. That is always a positive sign. I have already used the melon slicer. It performed exactly as advertised.

I thought this device would be better. The plastic materials used seem cheap. Not sure the grip -ability was well thought out on the handle. If you hold too close to the plastic edges, you will cut your finger. It happens every time I use this thing!

Cheaply made. This broke on the first use =(

Will be cool to use this summer
