HozelockJet Spray Ultramax Gun, Grey/Yellow, 16x10x8 cm

Bought this at the end of 2018. It is not worth the money as after a year, it would not spring back to the off position. I tried lubrication, but to no avail. As well as physically pulling the trigger out, sometimes it required a sharp bang on the top of a fence post, to release the spring and shut off the water flow. I suspect that it is internally all rusted out. I have replaced it, with one for a fiver and it is so far brilliant.

I bought this as a direct replacement for my old Hozelock Ultramax Jet Spray Gun.My old Hozelock Ultramax Jet Spray Gun is used very regularly and kept outside all year round in all weathers, and has been for the last for circa 20 years. It is still fully working, with no leakage, but a bit worse for wear, so I decided to upgrade.The new model is slightly heavier and if anything feels a bit more robust, so I will not be surprised if I were to get another circa 20 years service from this one, and if so, this represents excellent value for money.

I wanted a good jet and this gun will shoot water above the windows and onto the gutters at the back of my 2 storey house, which is higher than the front. Flow rate control is very easy and effective. I was fed up with poor plastic guns so I paid top price for top quality. I should have monitored prices because I paid from £4 to £10 more than needed for this item. I paid £28.48 on 26 April but on 30 April it had dropped considerably to £18.74 and then on 01 May it went up again to £24.39.

This is a solidly made spray gun that I bought to replace another Hozelock which broke after a number of years of regular use. There are other types and manufacturers available, but I came back to Hozelock in the end and would recommend this to anyone looking for a no-fuss spray gun with easy to use settings and a straightforward pressure adjuster. I use it to was down my car and so the 3 settings to spray, jet and fill up a bucket are perfect for the job.

Had one of these for YEARS previously.. left out thru all seasons, rain or shine reliable, frost or fierce heat.. faded, it finally gave up on me recently.. so, no hesitation when it came to a like for like replacement & was pleased to note the usual same, satisfyingly solid Hozelock build quality.. simple, no fuss flow & spray control - direct & powerful, with a solid always on trigger lock.. happily recommend it
