Wonderful quality but I wish I had gotten something larger
Wonderful quality but I wish I had gotten something larger. 16oz is small for the delicious coffee/tea that this thing infuses.

Was good until it broke
Another tea brewer, was good until it slipped over the granite countertop and broke.I would recommend not to leave it anywhere other than out of the way while not being used.

Beautiful, Yet Impractical
Glass walls are elegant and very thin. Drank from it once, before a tiny tumble shattered it. No more infuser. Not recommended.

SADLY DISAPPOINTED

Long name, Great Product!
Use - So far I have use this for lemon/lime infused water, mint/lime water, chamomile tea, yerba mate, and a strange hydration mix that I describe below. I had some concerns, but was pleasantly surprised. I muddled some mint leaves in the tea strainer and initially thought that I might damage the strainer because I was not exactly being gentle. The bottom of the strainer didn't bend at all and there was no issue where the strainer sits in the glass either. My next concern was steeping yerba mate in this product. Yerba mate has some extremely fine particles in it and I expected a ton of that to seep through down into the glass. There was some that got through the strainer, but it was a nominal amount. If you've ever drank mate, you know that picking stems out of your teeth is part of the experience. Considering this isn't designed for yerba mate, it does a pretty good job and sure beats carrying around a mate gourd and straw. The strap on the neoprene sleeve is a handy touch as well. I took this on a 5 mile hike by attaching a carabiner to the strap and my day pack and it was just fine jostling around for a few hours. I typically just throw water bottles in the front passenger seat of my car, but for those of you who use cup holders, this fit in the three cup holders that I have.Hot/Cold Duration - It's been in the 90's all week here so I can't speak to how well it holds heat, but it did well keeping my water cold. Like I mentioned above, I took this on a hike and kept it on the outside of my backpack which was exposed to direct sunlight for a majority of the hike. I wasn't keeping a time log of sun exposure and water temperature, but it was cold until I finished it.Appearance - This thing looks great. I've had a few products similar to this (double walled, tea strainer), but they always had a fake bamboo top. I understand the eastern concept there, but they were of questionable quality and the fake bamboo was a bit tacky to me. This has a sleek, modern look that is way more versatile. I feel just as comfortable bringing this to the gym as I would to a board meeting. There is more of cohesive look with this product than others because the stainless steel strainer matches the cap. Might not be a deal breaker for some people, but I really appreciate the aesthetic touches like that.Feel - The glass feels sturdy, but that is addressed more below. I really love the feel of the cap! The stainless steel gives you a solid grip on the cap even when it was wet. The next thing I noticed was how solid the seal felt. There was no, "Well hopefully this doesn't leak" thoughts popping into my mind. It's hard to put into words, but you just feel confident that it won't leak after screwing on the cap. There were a few times where it felt like the cap was stuck, but that was because I tightened the cap too much. It turns out in the instructions it tells you not to over-tighten the cap so don't be a dummy like me and that shouldn't be an issue. The strainer/infuser fit well into the glass and even locks in place. It doesn't quite "click" into position, but just push down and you'll know when it's locked in. The vessel slides easily into the neoprene sleeve which is such a good component to this product. The sleeve doesn't come all the way to the top of the neck of the bottle which is helpful because it allows room to grip the bottle when twisting off the cap. Plus on hot days the glass can get some condensation on the sides which makes it a little slippery, but with the sleeve that's no longer a concern.Glass - I love the benefits of glass vessels, but I am wary of buying them because they tend to break - probably from some combination of my recklessness and the level of quality of the product. My first impression is that this product is sturdy! It feels a lot thicker than other glass vessels I've bought (and broken). The big draw for me is that I put some strong concoctions into containers and there is always a residual smell. The glass eliminates that issue and it's really easy to clean. I put it to the test by mixing lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, black pepper extract, and sea salt. The glass didn't smell after I cleaned it and to my surprise there was no residual smell on the strainer or rubber seal in the cap.So far this has been has been a great product. Since receiving it, I have used this almost exclusively with the only exception being a 100 mile bike race. Therein lies my only issue with the product, the fact that it is only 16oz. However, I don't think this product was meant for endurance sports hydration so that point is probably moot. I'll be sure to update this review if anything changes.Full Disclosure - I received a discount on this product in exchange for an honest review.

This is one cool bottle!
Before ordering the Hox Tumbler, I didn't have any "on the go" glass bottles. Mine were all plastic. I had wanted to try one for a while after hearing a friend rave about hers and it's "no stank" abilities (every time I use my Nalgene, I'm reminded of the times I've let something sit in it a little too long -gross!) This product has not let me down.Upon receiving the first thing I did was look at the box. I loved the information on the outside, specially the customer satisfaction guarantee listed on the box! This company seems to legitimately care about the product their making and our satisfaction as consumers, which I dig.The bottle itself is very sleek. The cap screws on and off. There's no spout- it would've been nice, but that didn't bother me. It comes with a nice neoprene sleeve.Additionally, the infuser basket is easy to remove & insert.I've owned this bottle for 9 days and I've used it 8.Things I've used my Hox tumbler for:WaterCoffeeTea: looseleaf & bagsRaspberry infused vodkaCucumber waterAs far as washing goes, you'll want make sure you have a long handled bottle brush as this is narrow and deep. The basket was very easy to rinse loose leaf tea from with just the force of the stream from the faucet. Now, my cucumber water was left in the bottle, in the hot car, for two days. It was frothing when I finally grabbed it to wash- yikes. It cleaned up well & there was so stink left behind! Win!Other notable points:-Great size!! With it being double walled, the outer wall makes it seem bigger than what the inside actually holds. I felt it was going to be too small at first, but after using it for a few days, I realized it was a great size for most of the things I was using it for. The only thing I ever wanted more of at once was water.-Sleeve worked well at providing a barrier when using for extremely hot drinks. It came up about an inch from the top of the bottle, which made me wonder why they didn't make the sleeve big enough to come all the way up to the top.- Traveled well. Size wise, it fit nicely in the cup holder in my car. Plus, the sleeve gave good protection.-It kept my hot drinks HOT and my cold drinks COOL.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Great bottle for tea drinkers!
I LOVE this infuser! I got sick just after ordering it and it has been quite helpful with my need for tea. :) I use the hot water from my water dispenser put my tea in the basket. And just wait for it to get the color I like. Take basket out. And boom! Tea! The tea doesn't stay as hot as long as it did in my metal infuser, but I really like that the basket is at the top and it doesn't just have a strainer as my old one did. It's nice and large so you don't have to refill as often and it looks super sleek! I love the sleeve, it has saved my hands once it heats up after a while. All in all. Super duper happy with this thing! :)
