Easy to form and very durable
This is the best pothole product ever. Plops out of the bucket easily then becomes a formable mass you can easily and accurately place with a small trowel. Unbelievably useful and wears very well. The hole I fixed last year is good as new!

Aquaphalt vs. Home Depot Brand
I had a major sidewalk problem (tree roots). I ordered a bucket of Aquaphalt but it was only enough for about half the job. I didn’t want to wait a week for another order so I went to Home Depot and bought two 50 lb. bags of their cold patch asphalt @ $15/bag. Here’s the results:The Aquaphalt was soft and poured out of the bucket. Easy to work with. Tamed it and poured water over it and it was hard enough to walk on in 2 hours. The H.D. brand was gooey and easy to work with, although you can’t help getting a little tar on you. This stuff was easy to work with too. But I put this stuff down 3 days ago and it’s still soft and sticky, but you can walk on it after 48 hours. Another difference was that the Aquaphalt was made of much smaller gravel pieces so that the surface was much smoother than the H.D. brand. The Aquaphalt is definitely the better product, and it comes in a convenient tub you can reseal and easy to carry. The quick curing and the hard surface are the main advantages. But the Aquaphalt is expensive compared to the H.D. brand. That’s why I only gave it 4 stars. It’s a very good product, perfect for small patches.

Works really good
This stuff works amazing. It’s a little pricey for how much you can cover, but it works great.

As easy and convenient as described
Excellent product for patching jobs. As easy and convenient to use as described in the product description. And it really does work as well.I will definitely be using it again in the future.

Goes down easily with little smell. For driveways it needs a coat of trowel patch. Try 4.0 instead
Highly recommended over the standard bagged asphalt patch from a hardware store. That stuff smells, is hard to get out of the bag and is tough to spread especially in cooler weather. I wound up getting 8 buckets of Aquaphalt over a month and all of it came out of the bucket easily and crumply like wet sand and spread / levelled easily with a 16" wooden paint stirrer. This stuff is pricey but worth it, though I wish the price was half as much. I didn't realize I would use 8 buckets on the dips in my driveway near the garage door but really I could have used 10 buckets. It's too heavy to be shipped in a 10 gallon bucket but getting twice as much at once would be good. It's easy to underestimate how much is needed. This Aquaphalt went down easily and I watered it, tamped it and let it set. It hardened like it is supposed to.The problem I had is with its "rockiness" which is more than my driveway. A thin sealcoating won't hide the difference. I would recommend the finer 4.0 over 6.0 for a driveway because I wound up putting trowel patch over the 6.0 Aquaphalt to fill in the rocky voids. I had to use trowel patch over the bagged standard patch I put down as well so the 6.0 and the standard bagged patch are about the same rocky consistency. I didn't like having to smooth things over with the trowel patch because it is noticeably smoother than the original driveway.All-in-all my driveway has no more dips and looks good from a distance at least where the smoothness of the trowel patch is not noticeable.

One bucket not enough for an average pothole requiring the 6.0.
No handle on bucket though there is one in photos and associated videos from company. Small amount of product poured out initially but then the entire remainder fell out in one chunk that had to be chopped up. Note: There is 4.0; 6.0; and 9.0. Fuzzy explanations on what 6.0 & 9.0 should be used for. Finally, there is really not much in the bucket for an average to just less than average pothole.
