Agate Bookend Teal (2-3.5 lbs)

Beautifully polished and heavy Agate bookends. Pleasure to look at and they keep the books upright. Hard not to like, but brace yourself if you're shipping internationally---these are indeed heavy but a worthy addition to any stylish book shelf.

Nice book ends, however, I was looking forward to having the same color in the photo. Per photo I provided you can tell that it is nowhere near the same color in photo. Still a nice geode, but not exactly what I was looking for as far as the colors.

This was an anniversary gift from my husband that I ordered from DesertUSA. As is common with a lot of, if not most companies selling minerals, crystals and fossils, you usually get a randomly picked specimen.I read the reviews before placing my order. I collect minerals both polished and in raw state, so I wanted to get something that truly spoke to me.I'm happy to say that DesertUSA has the most personable and fabulous customer service. I purchased these in purple to hold my fairly lightweight set of paperback Witcher books. I know there are lots of variations in what the stones will look like, but the ones I received were basically white. There is a thin line of purple at the outer edge, but otherwise they are very blah looking. The exterior of the bookends is actually prettier. They are quite small - the books they are holding up are the larger paperback size and these barely get halfway up the length of the book. Additionally, even though they do weigh about 3 pounds (together) they really don't have enough weight to hold up anything remotely heavy. Also, there were no stick-on nonskid pads included - not a big deal to me as I have some anyway.TL;DR - not colorful, fairly small, lightweight. Just meh.

Purchased as a Christmas gift … it is teal which is the only reason I am keeping it … it is rather small

These are a beautiful addition to my home. I would definitely consider these for a wedding gift.
