(Using husband's account.) I accidentally stumbled upon this at my mom's house. My skin is very fair and goes through long stretches of feeling itchy/dry. It's very irritating because I can never seem to find a cream that soothes my skin AND hydrates it at the same time. Usually, the lotions I use soak into my skin too quickly so it bounces right back to feeling dry, or they just sit on top of my skin in a shiny layer without soaking in at all. So when I tried this out while at my mom's, I couldn't believe how perfect it was. I actually asked her if I could steal it (she had never used it) and thankfully she let me ;)The small bottle pictured below is the jar she let me keep. Once I ran out, I immediately looked the product up on Amazon and ordered a larger one.The consistency is slightly oily during the warmer months, but it in a good way. It's easy to scoop up and apply, and it leaves a subtle, magazine-worthy glow over my skin while also soothing/hydrating it. It lasts throughout the day. During the winter the consistency becomes slightly harder, the same way coconut oil does, but it's still easy to scoop up and rub into your skin. That being said, I live in Southern California so we don't have much of a Winter ;)(I didn't try this on my hair, because it doesn't seem the right consistency for it.)Anyway, soooo happy I found this product and highly recommend.

The texture of this seems pretty nice, and it is easy to apply... but the smell is mildly unpleasant and off-putting to my husband and my cats. Despite the smell, I tried using it on my feet overnight, but woke up with dry heels.I'm giving it three stars because I like the packaging and the overall idea of it, and I think that it would last a long time... but I find myself not actually wanting to use it at all. I think this might suit someone who is either less bothered by the smell of it, or who is able to mix it with essential oils.This is my first experience with shea butter, so I can't really say how it compares with other similar products.

Update: It's now almost March 2017, so it's been almost a year since I started using this shea butter, and I am still in love with it! I've bought my second jar of this stuff and I've found more ways to use it. One random, kinda strange thing it works great for is to moisturize upper lips and noses when you have a cold. My 2 year old and I have been getting back to back colds and after blowing/wiping our noses we put a little bit of the cream on and it truly prevents chapped lips and dryness. She has been saying "I need cream" now after I wipe her nose and right before I put her paci in for bed!! It's safe for both of us, and I'm thrilled With it!! P.S. I have moderately dry skin, not prone to acne, but oily roots and dry, over processed ends. Haven't used it on my hair. Maybe one day when I have nowhere to be I will give it a shot.LOVE this product! I use it for many things but mainly as a face moisturizer. I have dry, sensitive skin that reacts to many things. I love this stuff because it feels great going on my skin, I never have any breakouts after use, and a little goes a long way! I have also used this on my elbows and knees and I like to mix a little bit with my body moisturizer. It tends to make the fragrance linger a bit longer than usual. I know it probably seems a bit expensive to some of you but to me, it is worth every penny!

USES: I love using this as a lotion for my body. You can also use this for a face lotion, hand lotion, and as a hair sealant. Even though I think it is best for the body and secondary use as hair sealant.CONTENT: It is very soft when you put your finger in it and it appears to be solid. Once it is on your hand/finger for 5 secs it immediately melts into oily liquid. My body definitely feels moist after I put it on. I recommend to do it overnight after hopping out of the shower.SMELL: At first it has a little bit of a bold, nutty, and ground smell but it goes away especially overnight. I wouldn't call it sweet or unscented and yes you might consider coconut butter smells better. I don't mind since it goes away.COLOR: It has a light white, yellow, cream color.SIZE: It is only 4oz and can fit into your hand. Depending on how much you use it, it can last at least 15 days to maximum of 45 days.CONTAINER: It is in a chemical free glass with the symbols and writings on 2 giant stickers. It does come in a gift box.OVERALL: I really like this but I will be honest and admit it is on the expensive side for how much you get. This would be a perfect 5 stars if they could give it to us for 8oz at half the price, while keeping everything else the same (gift box, chemical free glass, USDA, Fair Trade, ECOcert) . Other than that I'm really satisfied with this, I really appreciate the USDA organic, Fair Trade, and chemical free glass. So therefore I'm willing to pay to get Wise's Owl Organics each month and maybe send some as a gift.

This stuff is amazing. The texture is whipped, so it very light and spreads around easily. There are grains in it, which I think is great; its like a very gentle scrub. Its had a wonderful impact on my blackheads, opening the pores and diluting the gunk in them with pure stuff. The majority of my fine lines dissapeared within 2 days of using it and the "adjustment" acne was almost non-existant. Its great on my hands too, soaks up in a few minutes. My face doesnt soak it up as quickly, but my face isnt as dry as my working hands.Cons? If I had to come up with one Id say its a fairly small tub. It says you can use it on your hair, but unless you have a pixie cut theres not enough to do that regularly.Additionally, its food grade so you can put it on your lips and not worry about getting some in your mouth.It arrived earlier than expected and had adequated packaging to protect the nice glass jar.
