We got this after borrowing one from our neighbour. Our baby had her vaccination and we were told to watch for a fever. Sure enough that night she felt hot and wouldn't settle. We had our own off brand thermometer which was not giving a reliable reading so we borrowed one of these from a neighbour. What a difference! We were able to accurately track our baby's fever as it started, peaked and cleared and treat her so she recovered quickly. We were also able to tell when the fever had passed which gave mum a huge relief and allowed both of us to get some sleep (eventually).We checked the brand and ordered the same one. After arriving we did a few checks using both to comfirm this one was accurate and working as it should.The box arrives with a safety seal on the openings. The device requires 2 x AAA batteries which are included. It's always appreciated when they include the batteries. It's really easy to use and includes the disposable ear canal covers for hygiene. Just slip a cover over the device until it clips on, place the device in ear snuggly and press the button, when you hear the beep you have a temperature reading (a couple of seconds). Instant temp readout in degrees C and either a backlight of green, amber, red depending on if the reading is a safe temp (green), mild fever (amber), or high fever (red).This can be used on babies and adults. We used this on our 4 month old and also 37 year old.The thermometer is entirely plastic but it's good and tough and can easily withstand being dropped.Excellent quality and value. Ordered at 2am, it was delivered at 1pm the same day! So very impressed with the same day delivery service from Prime!My daughter suffers with coughs and colds constantly! I got this after our old one breaking in the middle of the night!Easy to use! Comes with a small pack of covers for the in ear piece. Very quick reading (which is super handy with a wriggly toddler!) And I've found it to be very accurate. I did a reading twice in each ear and got the exact same reading. Did mine and my other childs and it gave me a different readings than my daughters. The indicator turns red for a high temp and green for a normal temp.For the price I paid, I'm really very impressed!!

Doesn't record a correct temperature. A lot lower than it should be. For example with a cover on it records a temperature of around 34C without a cover slightly higher at around 35C but no where near correct. Hard to get into ear (tried on several adults) would be useless with a child and their smaller ears.

Bought this for my nan, who has arthritis in her hands as it is smaller amd less fiddly then a full sized tympanic thermometer. She thinks it is fabulous and she can use it really easily without having to over extend her fingers, so no pain caused. 100% recommend

Arrived on time. Great value for money compared to lots of other ear thermometers I viewed. Works great and proved I was NOT dying from hypothermia like my old thermometer said

Arrived quickly, comes with 2 batteriesYou can set the date and time on it for some reasonWas advised to get this type of thermometer by my GP as I have seizures & need to monitor my temperature.I can take 10 readings in the same ear and they are all fairly different within 1 and 1.5° which is quite significant when I'm running a fever and can't determine if its 38 or 39!Maybe I'm using it wrong but is there much to it than "sticking it in your ear?"
