Easier & much faster than network transfer
Took quite a little while to figure out all the idiosyncrasies but after experimenting in the beginning it became clear sailing. I had previously been attempting to move a terabyte of files off an old desktop to a new laptop using a network transfer. That operation took several days, not including crashes or interrupts. The transfer USB cable did it all in a few hours; no crashes or pauses. Everything in the massive transfer was on the new computer, safe and correct. Very impressed - and thankful!

It wasn't pretty, but it worked
I was upset when I opened the box and the plastic screen came off. Luckily, it snapped back into place. I hooked it up to both pcs, but was confused for a few minutes. No instructions were included meaning I had to figure it out on my own. So for those of you getting it, pay attention: Once you plug it into both devices you will need to run the program. It basically showed up in my CD drive (weird because I don't have a CD reader on my computer), nevertheless it's there. You have to click on the program (I forget the name of it now) but once you do you'll be prompted to add the program. Once you add the program a double screen will pop up on the computer you want to download it to. From there it's a simple drag and drop from the previous PC folder to the area you want it all to go to. My old PC is Windows 10, the new one is Windows 11 and it worked. Music files and pics were a lot, so it took some time. All my files are there on the new PC now and the transfer cord is now in my cord bin.

Recommend it
It works great and is very easy to use. If you have many heavy files, eg videos, I suggest you select smaller batches. Otherwise, just get it on.
