Very happy with the Express Water Elite unit. I purchased this because it was slightly smaller dimensionally with the tank and more compact filters than the other Express Water units. Took about an hour or so for installation. Water tastes great and we should have ordered a RO system for our house many years ago. If you are looking for better tasting water or to remove chlorine or fluoride, I’d definitely recommend. They say the filters last a year but other systems say 6 months, so I guess we will see how long they last. Still worth the money. Water is so important in your overall health!

Purchased 2 Elite RO units and have other units from Express Water. This is my 4th Filter system from Express Water over about 10 years. Customer service has become very poor and is not acceptable in my opinion. The RO Elite unit is good, not great, relatively easy to install (if you can install a garbage disposer or faucet you should be able to handle the install of a under counter RO system), the water quality is good, and the elite unit takes up less space that the other models I have had from them before. I would not purchase it again. I recently had a very bad experience with Express Water related to a leak in the filter connection. I contacted Express Water, and they were not helpful. Difficult to reach them by phone 60min wait time, so email is how they want you to contact them and it is useless. Alana P was not helpful at all and did not resolve my issue or even seem to care. I was shocked at the cold response I received from Express Water. It is their defective filter, not an issue with installation. I described the problem and they wanted PHOTOS....She said, "to understand the problem", they know the problem, it is a common problem. SO back to Amazon. Amazon was great and responded very quickly to correct the issue. Such a waste and hassle by Express Water. If I had to do it again, I would purchase the older stack style RO system with a different company other than Express Water. I cannot recommend Express Water due to the lack of customer support for a defective product not related to installation. There are other companies selling RO systems, Express Water seems to have forgotten that.

I have been a water treatment professional for 25+ years. After installing 4 of these in the past year (2024-2025) client's report no issues. The color coding and quick change make it easy for clients to change their own cartridges. Important: this RO has an alkalinity filter that adds minerals back in as a final stage. This means the TDS will never be zero like an RO with alkalinity. Decide for yourself if the increased pH is a priority for you. Some of my clients have purchased these (per my recommendation) and had it ready for me to install the same day as the install of their custom whole-house water filtration and softening system we build at American Water Doctors in the Houston, TX area. It usually takes about an hour to unbox and install. In most cases we upgrade the add-a-tee to a John Guest version, swap the saddle style drain adapter for a DLA-D, and add a check valve on the drain to prevent back flow. I'm not a fan of the leak protectors because they can trip if something is spilled on them. Sometimes clients will order a drip tray to use under the kitchen sink and RO. Difficulty: if you are handy and have basic tools, you will be fine. If you need a hole drilled in the counter or plumbing is not your thing, definitely have a water treatment pro in your area install it for you. If it is done right the first time, it will be leak free and easy to swap cartridges in the future. Pro Tip: all RO's are meant to be installed on a water supply that is FREE of bacteria. City water is typically treated for bacteria. However, if there is a Boil Water Notice, do not consume the water even from an RO. If you do, bacteria can be pulled into the pores of the RO system and in the absence of chlorine (i.e. after carbon) bacteria may propagate and later release plumes as you call for water. Good luck with your install. This is a great product. If I find it to be a bad investment after years of service, I will update the review.

This is my cooking and drinking water. The flavor of coffee is better than most restaurants. This is designed so well. Very easy to change filters.
