My 9 year old son loves this book

My two boys, who are 8 and 11, absolutely love the characters: Chess, Emma, and Finn. They love that the book and chapters are written in the view of the kids. They love the plot and after our 30 min of reading, we talk about what we think will come next. We are constantly amazed on how the book and the story continues. These characters are brave and are unstoppable when it comes to helping and saving their family.

This book is SOO good. It's that book thats a page turner. You can't put it down. I hope there is WAY more than 3 bokks because it's such a goos book. When i started thefirst book i thought it was just another longg boring book! But the i got more into it and I love it sok much. This book has more charecters and people that make it so intriguing.

My daughter loved the first book so we bought her this second novel. It wasn't as exciting as the first book. It moved at a much slower pace with little plot development. Ended with a twist and a cliff hanger. Hoping the 3rd book is better

This book is amazing with page turner and cliff hangers. The book tells you so much. I wish there was a movie. I can imagine all the characters in my mind and everything they describe.

I am reading this series with a few students from my class. We are always checking in on each other to discuss what is happening. Great Series.

I loved the action and cliffhangers. You should definitely read this. I hope you will enjoy this action packed book.

My son, 12 years and in 6th grade, was so excited for this book to come out after reading the 1st in the series and he wasn’t disappointed!! No asking him to go read, he can’t put it down. Can’t wait for book #3.

Despite being a middle grade book, I loved The Deceivers just as much as The Strangers!It is filled with puzzle like secrets and codes that leave you guessing what will happen until the very end. Not to mention the stakes and tension are much higher than the first book. The ending was wrapped up nicely while paving the way for a third book that I am already excited to get my hands on.

Ordered the wrong book in the series for my granddaughter. It was going to cost me half as much to return or exchange it. Beware when ordering books even if you have prime.
