Welcome to Beach City
For 48 postcards, the price is amazing. You get scenes from Steven Universe and much more -- I won't spoil anything, but I think the back description of each card alone is worth it! (It's actually more informative than "Guide to the Crystal Gems" in a way, surprisingly.)This is more of a collector's item than an actual postcard book. There's two cards printed on each page and they're easy to tear out. However, with the material of the card, it's also relatively easy for sweaty / oily fingerprints to smear all over the beautiful prints. I used to spend hours of time on Postcrossing, sending and receiving postcards, and according to experience I really don't think the paper will survive the journey without getting shredded into pieces.. The paper itself is not flimsy, but don't expect stiff cardboard quality. Then again, at this price point, there's nothing to complain about. I will definitely be using it as wall decoration instead of shipping it out... But if you really have to, I'd recommend sending extras just in case. If they do manage to arrive at their destination unscathed, they will bring smiles to any fans of Steven Universe!Hint/Warning: If you're buying it from Amazon like I did, there's a high chance they'll ship it out in a bubble envelope.. And it won't protect your books at all. FYI 2 of my other books came in dented. Good thing they have a decent customer service and reasonable exchange offers.

Super cute
The postcards are glossy and fairly stiff; they feel like regular postcards. The ones I have sent appeared to have held up well in the mail and are now posted up on the recipient's wall. The art is really cute. Some of the images have landscape art like a traditional postcard; others are more like character art. There is also a get well, happy birthday, and congratulations card. The captions on the cards are neat and some provide bonus information about the show (mostly written in-character or in-universe.) The perforation is okay but does come out a little jagged. I'm very happy with this book and I plan to send many of the postcards. I might have to buy a second one so I don't have to choose between sending the art and putting it on my wall.

Great collection of postcard-worthy art--with some slick and surprising captions!
On the surface, this little postcard book is just a collection of postcard art that you can choose to keep or send out to friends and family. I wasn't expecting anything else beyond recycled art on glossy paper and another tie-in book to add to my collection. But in addition to being full of cute art, the little messages on the backs of the cards add some surprising details to stuff we didn't already know (assuming this can be taken as a canon source).First, let's talk cover art. Steven's on the front scrawling in a book, looking content in front of a picture of part of Beach City. And on the back, we have example postcards: One from Steven to Connie saying he hopes she'll come over for sword fighting training once she's no longer grounded for getting caught sword fighting; one from Pearl to Amethyst asking her to take care of whatever stinks in her room; and one from Peridot to Yellow Diamond saying Earth isn't what she expected. Wonder what Yellow Diamond's mailing address is? Maybe Jamie can find it.A postcard with a partial map of Beach City indicates that the city was "allegedly founded in the early nineteenth century by Captain William Dewey," though the Gems were there thousands of years before. We learn from this that their years line up approximately with ours since that's "nearly 200 years ago" according to Mayor Dewey's comment in the episode "Historical Friction."A postcard with Young Greg says that his performance of "Comet" was his final performance in Beach City.A postcard with Crying Breakfast Friends art gives names to some of the characters who hadn't been named before. We've already seen references to Sniffling Croissant and Spilled Milk ("Reformed"), but three other breakfast characters are referred to here as Sad Waffle, Blue Apple, and--coolest of all--Remorseful Pear. (The crying Pear character had to apologize to Spoon for an undisclosed lie on an episode of the show during "Cry for Help." Their voices were done by Pearl and Garnet's voice actors. Their conflict mirrored Pearl and Garnet's extended estrangement. Great foreshadowing.)A postcard of the "old-timey people" referenced in "So Many Birthdays" featuring Garnet punching a shark is labeled as being "circa 1800."A postcard of Lapis just after she was healed in "Ocean Gem" says she is "often misunderstood and seen as a villain." In another book that came out at the same time (Best Buds Together Fun), this "misunderstanding" is demonstrated.A postcard with a Cookie Cat cartoon on it says it's "now available at Gurgin's, off Route 109." I've seen a couple different spellings of "Gurgin's." Here's this one. But this is a lie! They're now available NOWHERE!A postcard with the Li'l Butler image on it claims the show had more than 168 episodes.A postcard from Greg's music video featuring a dramatically posing Rainbow Quartz has a peculiar caption. Most of the other captions make reference to known Gem history, including understanding of whose Fusion is whose. But this caption says diehard Mr. Universe fans will recognize the footage but that no one knows how he did the effects of the singer's transformation. I guess not all the captions are assuming full knowledge of the show, which is kinda neat.A postcard of Steven, Connie, and Lion watching the Dogcopter movie says Lion tickets are the same price as kid tickets.A postcard of the "Sea Ya Later!" billboard (from "On the Run") claims to feature the official Beach City duck. According to this, you can leave town via Route 1A, Beach City Highway.

Great variety of Steven Universe images. My favorites include Lion and Rose Quartz. There are also a few specialized postcards - birthday, thank you, congratulatory, and even a get well postcard. It’s adorable.

Great quality, a must for any SU fan!
Really neat little postcards! I've split them all up and used them to create a collage on my wall since I couldn't find an SU poster anywhere. They're really high quality and each card has a little fact about the picture on the back.If you think it's going to be outdated it's not that far behind! There's postcards of Peridot inside the 'archaic think chamber' spinning in the toilet, onion, Amethyst shapeshifting, Rose, Connie swordfighting, young Greg performing 'like a comet' and so much more! There's even that gorgeous shot of Stevonnie running with the purple background when they first fuse. (That one is my favourite)

Wonderful book. A must have.
A wonderful little book. It has 48 postcards, each with a beautiful illustration on the front, and most have a sentence or two on the back about the picture. Some of the pictures are from the show, and others seem to be specially drawn for the book (don't quote me on that. They may not have, but I have have seen them anywhere else.) It also has a few "special occassion" Cards, like "Happy Birthday" etc. I can't wait to decorate my room with them.

Cute set of postcards from earlier episodes
Love these! Dilemma now is, do I keep them in the book or send some to others who will love them too? I wish we got more Steven Universe things here to choose from, but I’ll make do with books and episodes!
